Anyone else heard Ibrahimovic rumours?
Not about him being gay. But our interest in him.
He'd be top at Old Trafford. |

he is a smashing player, a top striker but he won't leave unless Mourinho doesn't fancy him. If Mourinho comes out and says or just quietly says he wants rid then Zlatan will end up with Barca, Madrid or Chelsea.

He's clearly got talent, but he is overrated by a few people on this very forum. He also comes across as having a bit of a attitude problem, but I'm sure he'll mature as he gets older (as everyone does) and if anyone can get the best out of him - Fergie would for sure.
Wouldn't necessarily rule it out but I think he's an unlikely target. |

With all these fabricated rumours flying round. Would anyone mind if I started a rumour that Real Madrid are going to hijack the Ronaldinho deal to City, bring him to Real (following in the footsteps of Figo) along with your Cristiano.
So next year it will be Ronaldo and Ronaldinho strutting their stuff at the Bernabaeu.. What you think Spoonov? Believeable? Think the papers will print it? |

Heres hoping, shit attitude, doesnt work for the team. He's more of a great provider than a natural goalscorer. Wouldnt be prepared to be rotated. Look at the shift Tevez put in against Chelsea, you'll never see that from him. As for the international record, 2 years 7 months without a goal is a hell of a long time for a player. As for Rooney I agree his record is as poor but then again he is 4 years younger and has more passion for the game the Ibrahimovic will ever have. In closing, not a Manchester United player IMO.

I would prefer our other striking targets over him. We havent bought Ibrahimovich up to this day despite having various opportunities to do so. I dont think Sir Alex really wants him.

Ibrahimovic is a special player, but a lot like Cantona at the time, he needs a special manager. Not sure Fergie would be that interested in another head case, though, especially as we're looking for someone who won't complain if he's on the bench now and then.

I must admit I used to think Ibrahimovic was very overrated, he does have a tendency to under perform it has to be said. But last pre-season when United played Inter I noticed Ibrahimovic was popping up all over the place... I singled him out during in the match and although it was only a friendly, he had a terrific match! His movement off the ball, ability to create space for himself and also pick out his team mates was immense, the United defence were struggling to keep close to him all match (which isn't said very often)! Not only that he has technique, skill and is a good finisher, he's also tall and has the ability to hold up the ball... this probably one of the reason he has so many assists to his name!! I haven't seen much of him in Italy, but this game alone managed to change my view of him completely!! He'd be a good shout for United, the kind of tall striker we need, along with Villa after another excellent performance as always for Spain last night they've both jumped on to my "Summer Transfer" shortlist... but as things go we're probably not interested, just rumours! ![]() |

Yeah but if you want your strikers to play like Dirk Kuyt then fair enough. I am all for endevour and putting in a shift but Rooney has been critisized for it. Eric Cantona wouldn't put in that sort of Shift and that is the type of player Ibrahimovic is. Maybe times have changed at United and outragous ability and a bit of attitude are no longer on the menu, now we want effort and shifts. |
