Indeed.

Yet funnily enough I was actually talking about the fact Guus said he was the smartest player he's worked with...

My point still stands.

Most managers will say that kind of crap of their "current" star player in order to inspire him. And I think this is exactly the case here. Although I think Arshavin is awesome and one of the players I would want at United, (I don't want to see him playing for any of our rivals) I doubt he is the smartest player Hiddink has worked with. Considering he has worked with bergkamp, gullit, koeman, kluivert, redondo, raul, etc. and the fact that Arshavin got himself sent off in a very childish manner and missed the first 2 games... whatever u get the point. Anyways good luck with nasri I hope he turns out good, I'd rather fight the league with the gooners than the renties.

He'd be up their street. He'd dovetail quite nicely, tucked in just behind Adebayor.

Another 'relative unknown' that Wenger will turn into a superstar; the hat fits quite nicely I must say.

He doesn't "know" like we don't "know" if you really exist but his probabilities are about right I reckon.

I reckon he would be a good signing for us if Ronaldo was to leave.

I'd personally would consider taking Arshavin to United in the event of Ronaldo leaving...

I'd like to see him and Zhirkov at United if Ronnie goes.

Russia are the new Brazil.

He's 27, which isn't that bad I suppose, would have been ideal if he was a year or two younger. I still say get him in and a young up and comer like Turan to replace Ronaldo.

Yep same, getting more and more convinced we should sign him if Ronaldo goes.

To be honest, when i saw Diouf play in the World Cup I thought he was overrated. I got bollocked for it by my Scouse friends when he scored 2 goals on his Liverpool debut.

Thats it. Do not let any other teams make a move for him without us seriously challenging them.

Andy Townsend : "If Ronaldo is worth £60 million, why doesn't Sir Alex spend £20 million on him? There's not a better player than him in the hole."

Perfect then. If we can sell Ronaldo, we can at last address the problem we've had of finding a great player to play in the hole. Thanks Andy.

Ok. If Arshavin remains at Zenit we'll get a better view of his qualities against us.

Oh Please, Arshavin has had a fantastic season which had led to his team winning the UEFA Cup and it's no surprise that since he's come back from his suspension for Russia they have played some awesome football.
