Sure if he doesn't wanna play for us then what can we do about it? Fuck him. He'll go to Madrid to carry Van Nistelrooy's water bottle for him.

guess we've just got to put faith into our own youth players and give them a chance. i think with the 7 subs a lot of our younger players will get more of a chance to show what they can do and gain valuable experience.

But if every top team is strengthening and we can't seem to bring any top players in but only youngsters, I would be afraid that they would overtake us.

agree we do need to strengthen but who have we lost out on?

ramsey? a 17 yr old who is still a prospect.

benzema? class player but he seems as though he's not going anywhere this year. anyway if he does why would we want him here if real come knocking on the door and get a repeat of whats happening with ronaldo.

let's keep faith and see what happens. anyway, apparently, the best player in the world, kaka, wants to play for us. so life can't be all that bad!

Hold on, everybody was saying Ronaldo was the best player in the world until all this shit happened. I can imagine the majority of United's supporters saying, as soon as Ronaldo leaves, that he was hugely overrated.

We do need to strengthen. A striker is needed and possibly another couple of players. Pique is gone, Saha is as good as, and anything could happen with Ronaldo. Scholesy and Giggsy are a year older, and I'd be suprised if I see a lot of Neville again.

I'm not too worried about Ramsay or Benzema. I thought Benzema would be a good player for us but there are still players available. Will we be able to persuade them to come to Manchester though?

We won the double, we have a better team than anyone else right now and you can definitely count on SAF to bring in a good striker.

No need to worry, we'll go on to win the septuple next year.

why all the well-known players don't want to join us, Lahm, Alves, Benzema, Veloso and the lists just goes on. How can it be difficult for us to attract players, FFS after-all we are the premiership and european champions.

I suspect that Ferguson may be the problem (after the Veron/Stam/Beckham/RvN sagas)

Let me know if you see something fishy there

Everyone who talks to Marca or AS wants to join Real Madrid - just like everybody who talks to Spoons dreams of joining United.
Benzema stated a few months ago that he has supported Barca since he was kid
Well, more players should talk to Spoons then. Simple.

I love Cantona.

Cantona has already started the ball rolling by telling fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema to join United.

The Lyon striker failed to shine in France’s goalless Euro 2008 draw with Romania, but Cantona believes he could light up the world in a United shirt.

He said: “Two French players can become the future and the best players in the world, that’s Benzema and [Samir] Nasri.

“Benzema can play with the best anywhere. Ferguson is the perfect manager and Benzema would improve with Ferguson behind him.”

I don't know how some of you muppets think he would/has snubbed us already...

Those quotes are by MARCA! He was probably asked, 'do you fancy madrid?' to which most players in his position (lyon) would say yes.

I'm sure he would love to come here. He's already said it, in fact...

Have we actually tried to sign all these players?

Wash your mouth out, although Ben Arfa is still quality.
We also may need a good left-footed wide player when a certain Welsh winger winds down in the next season or two. Park & Nani are fine, but both are right-footed.

No Chance Of Benzema

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has ruled out any chance of Karim Benzema leaving the French champions this summer and tipped him to stay at the club for a further two years.

Barcelona had high hopes of prising the 20-year-old away from the Stade Gerland and were hoping to smooth the way for another bid at the European Club Association (ECA) conference at Camp Nou.

With the continent's most powerful clubs gathering in the Catalan capital, reports suggested that there would be some wheeling and dealing being done, but Benzema will not be part of it.

"With €40m or €50m we would sell Benzema's ear," Aulas joked to reporters. "It is not a question of money. The player wants to achieve something big in the Champions League with Lyon.

"He is happy at the club and this can be seen with his latest contract renewal. I am sure that he will stay with Lyon until the 2010 World Cup Finals."

Aulas admitted that he knew Benzema is attracted by Barcelona and would rather join them than go to Real Madrid, but the French international wants to succeed at his hometown club first.

"I believe that he likes Barça a lot," he added.

Bloody hell, it's like a morgue in here!

We've just won the double of the Premier league and Champions League and some people are choosing to believe what they read in possibly the worlds most corrupt rag, Marca.

Nobody has a clue who we are looking to sign, or whether the players that we are would be willing to.

Get. A. Grip.

Is it just me or has Benzema looked absolutely shite for France so far? Apart from that shot that Buffon saved, he did fuck all last night. In fact he continuously lost the ball. He wasn't great in the first game either.

I know France are bad. I was just expecting more from him, especially as I'd liked him as a player when he played against us.

True. They all did look shite. They just haven't got the players. Anelka and Henry are shadows of their former selves. Makalele is old. Thuram looked like he never defended in his life. Coupet can't catch a cold. And Govou looks like he can't kick snow off a rope.
