Benzema/Berbatov/Huntelaar

Seeing as we've been linked with those three strikers for quite a while now, which one of them do you think would turn out to be the best for us?

I personally would go for Berbatov as he's already proven in the Premiership and is at his peak. At the other hand however, both Huntelaar and Benzema look excellent prospects and are just 24 and 20 respectively.

Your thoughts?

Another muppetbattle between two players

I'd take Benzema, a bit cheaper, more years on him and has some serious potential.

Berbatov is quite old, peaked and slow. Not denying he's a quality player

I doubt Benzema would be any cheaper than Berbatov, Lyon are known for demanding extraorbitant money for their players, plus he's French and just 20.

I would pick Huntelaar, because he's an out-and-out striker, the other 2 aren't.

Berbatov is the better player and would offer the team a little more, but Huntelaar will score more goals. The guy is a predator in th box.

Also, he wouldn't cost as much as Berbatov, probably half the price. God knows how much Lyon will want for Benzema, they ALWAYS charge teams over the odds though, so more than likely 20+ million.

Benzema. He's quality, and will give us the most for the money we pay. Has got some goals in him, too.

The reported fee I've seen in papers is somewhere around £21-24m.

Whereas Spurs said they want, what, £28-31m?

I've only seen Benzema once, and Huntelaar never.

We need another striker, and he needs to be quick

I think Benzema will end up the best of the 3, but Berbatov is perhaps the best currently.

However I'm not sure we would manage to sign Benzema ahead of Milan, etc.

Whereas i'm sure Berbatov would be happy to come.

Hunterlaar is a good goal scorer but little else. I'm not sure we need a 1 dimensional player like that.

I havent seen Huntelaar (24), Benzema (20) barely but looks class and Berbatov (26) is class and suit our style of football, has experience on Champions and the league.

The cheaper would be Huntelaar but the others would cost a lot IMO.

Huntelaar's got his scoring boots on, just scored 2 in a 6-1 win for Ajax.

Have you ever seen Huntelaar play? I doubt it , he can score from every angle. Free kicks , in the box , outside the box ...overhead kicks ...

I've never seen the French kid play, but out of Huntelaar and Berbatov I would have to go with Huntelaar.

I've watched him a few times for Ajax and he's not as one dimensional as people think. He does have a good natural eye for goal and is a clinical finisher, from all around the area. He can also hold the play up really well, and used to link up nicely with Sneijder.

I haven't really had chance to catch them this season though.

gotta go with huntlelaar there just something about him that spells goals every times he takes the field. we dont lack finesse, we do on some occasions struggle to put the ball in the back of the net in the simpliest way possible.

we need a poacher and there are few better and more availble at the moment than the hunter.

I'd say Huntelaar for the reason of having something different.

Tevez, Rooney and Saha aren't exactly clinical. I don't think you could say the same about Berbatov and Benzema either, although they seem to have good finishing.

Where did I say he cant score goals?

Christ.

I said he's a good goalscorer and little else and you try and argue against my point saying he can score from every angle, free kicks, in the box, outside the box and overhead kicks ?

Benzema would be good for us and would suit our style of play. Huntelaar would give us a different option up front, while berbatov would just harm our dressing room atmosphere with his constant whinging.
