You want a player like that at united? I don't care that he is good, he obviously is. I care that he is a quitter and lacks character.
If he quit he wouldn't have been selected

And who would have come in... Bent?

Had Bent been on form and a player who suits playing with Robbie Keane, he may well have come in. Berbatov was out of sorts, but his frustrated grimaces and hand gestures were in full flow.

why not? They even had defoe.

He wouldn't get away with that at United. It doesn't show much respect for the coach, but then Spurs start to last season was a disaster.

He's a good player. I don't believe there to be a massive attitude problem. He got frustrated at results, his team mates himself but once he got his act together he did fine

It's very rare to get quality players that tick every box. But I think you would see less bad behavior at United. He would come to realize if he doesn't already that you can try, but you cannot undermine the manager. He's too respected and so I wouldn't expect any of that nonsense if we got him

I'll pay good money to the first person to start a thread entitled 'Berbatov's Nuts'*

*I won't actually, but would enjoy seeing someone make a thread like that.

Rather he stopped playing like all his team mates did. In that period. It's called loss of form. He comes off worse than others because his still is languid. When off form he looks like he isn't bothered. When people like Keane look busy and trying coz they are naturally mobile. Even when they are really doing zilch

No. Defintely not the player you described. I want Berbatov at United. A player who I know for a fact is nothing close to what you've been describing.

He isn't a quitter and doesn't lack character. That's just a figment of your imagination. Because you simply dislike him.

Ibra's current attitude is far better than his reputation. Today he's a father with responsibility and have mature a lot since his days in Ajax and Juve. Inter wouldn't offer him such a huge improved contract without knowledge of his so called "attitude"
I admit I haven't seen him much the last couple of years (I don't like Inter), so maybe he is more mature these days. But I'd still have serious questions about him.

Are you making a chicken or the egg argument here? I am confused. Are you saying that I am imagining his behavior last year because I dislike him? Or are you saying I dislike him because of his behavior last year?

One would be correct, the other would not.

I'll let you try and figure out which.

Even Rooney does the same when he is off form.

Not really. I'm a massive Berbatov fan, but Zlatan at his best could be the best player in the world. It's kind of like the difference between Tevez and Rooney. Berbatov/Tevez are fantastic players in their own rights, but Zlatan/Rooney are just at that next level.

I think Berbatov would be the better fit for us though.

This is true. Zlatan is extremely underrated on this forum.

No. I'm saying you dislike him period. So you are willing to say and believe what ever. A Spurs match going fan told you what I'm telling you. But you still refuse

And the only thing that stops him being called a "sulk" is his willingness and workrate to play for the team, and win the ball back even when he's horribly out of form and chasing lost causes. Berbatov doesn't have this.

Zlatan in his early days was an entertainer but things has change. Today his biggest asset is his huge physic. The man is really big and strong as an ox, probably one of the strongest player I ever have seen. Under Capello and Mancini he have learn to play like a teamplayer. Today he play faster and more often use his skills to produce goals or assist. He's an excellent target, very good passer and he can shoot with both feets. He's good in the air, maybe a little scrared in ruff situations. But compare to other topforwards he nearly complete, one of the best around.

For those of you who saw Zlatan with Inter at OT last summer know what I'm talking about. Berbatov is also a very good player, but not like Zlatan Ibrahimovic

I said it before that Zlatan would be a massive hit at OT, similar to Cantona. Ibra have the right attitude to flourish and he's born to play in a team like United.

So are you claiming to be a mind reader? How could you possibly know why I dislike him?

Robbie Keane told me personally that Berbatov is a big toss pot by the way. He says that Berbatov demanded an Xbox 360 in his locker and as part of the contract nobody else is allowed to have one. Then he prances around naked playing Fifa screaming "THE GAME ISN'T A FAIR AND ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF HOW GOOD I AM".

Then he quits and won't let anybody play with his controller.

I swear that is the honest truth. Robbie Keane said so.

Which isn't his fault he lacks "workrate". He isn't as mobile as Rooney or as good at defending. It's like blaming Zizou or Riquelme for not tracking back ( "working hard") when things are going bad. Their game is simply not cut out that way.

To claim he doesn't play for is team is beyond a bad joke. It' just as stupid as the clueless punks who call Zlatan lazy.

I told you why I dislike him. Then you told me why I disliked him. Making the insinuation that I was lying about why I disliked him because I just disliked him, when the truth is I disliked him because of his behavior last season.

You dislike him because you read something into the behaviour you disliked that wasn't really there.

Capiche?

You think he was 'sulking' because he didn't get a move to us. When in reality the entire team was struggling because of a power-struggle being played out in lights in the media. Pretty much as soon as that was sorted, he got back into his groove again.
