Portuguese to spurn United in favour of Blues switch

Chelsea have beaten Manchester United to the signature of Jose Bosingwa, according to reports emerging in Portugal.

The talented Porto full-back has demonstrated in the UEFA Champions League over the past few seasons that he is one of the continent's finest in his position.

And it is such performances that have not gone unnoticed across Europe, with Manchester United thought to have been leading the race to acquire his services.

However, it has now come to light that Chelsea are desperate to add the player to their ranks and have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals.

A fee of €20million (£15.8million) is thought to have been concurred between Porto and Chelsea, with Bosingwa to pen a five-year deal with the West London club.

Portuguese press are reporting that an announcement could be made as early as Monday, with Bosingwa having elected not to make any comment this weekend as to where his future may lie.

It's not like paying 15.8 million for Bosingwa will do anything to Chelsea's budget, which is unlimited.

Last summer was the first time Chelsea changed their policy of buying every player we were after and they ended up with utter shite and we ended up with class so I guess they are getting up to their old tricks the absolute cnuts. Its and evil club run by evil greedy people that has some major ego's playing for them. Its the most evil club out there with Milan second and Madrid 3rd.

exactly. I never even believed once that United would pay anywhere near 20m+ for a RB.

I just think SAF is trying to find the right striker to fit United's system.... and he already knows what he wants from a striker. But for some reason he's just not bought one
