Daniel Guiza
Not saying we should buy him, will do well for a club like spurs and maybe for arsenal, and i do think utd can do with a player like him,but not sure about him,but definitely a good player nevertheless...

He's a good finisher and went the whole of last season under the radar in Spain. The talk was all about Fabiano all year, but he sat on his laurels for the last few months talking about his contract and future instead of bothering to score goals, and Guiza took over him. I suggested him a few months ago as a possible backup to Rooney and Tevez and I haven't changed my mind. I think he'd do fine, but wouldn't blow us away. He'd just do his job and score goals.

Guiza has pace, strength, decent finishing ability and excellent work-rate. A poor man's Torres. |

None of those strikers have scored more than 27 goals in the league before without scoring any penalties. 27 goals from open play is quite something. He impressed during the euros aswell. Hes clearly not a one season wonder.

nice guy, unassuming, objective United fan. Thinks hes intelligent though. Nutter

At the age of 23 he was still playing his trade in Barcelona's B team, where he appeared 15 times scoring 5 goals, that being his best experience up to that age. Then he kind of found himself at Murcia and Getafe, yet his goalscoring records there weren't very impressive either. 27 goals without taking penalties is still an impressive record, especially at team like Mallorca. |

Oh so has he been performing this well for over a season then? I've seen plenty of Guiza and he is nothing out of the ordinary, just like Santa Cruz isn't. The team just suits him and plays to his strengths. You can be very sure he won't go to a major European team, mainly because he is 28 and won't want to be a back up player.

And to think, some people have me down as not being open to signing anyone but David Villa. ![]() I'd take one of several forward players, depending on whether SAF wants them to be first choice or backup. Guiza is a good shout as a backup. |
