I saw this story linked elsewhere. How can he be on a free 6 months after joing for £7m quid or so? They didn't include a clause that allowed him to leave for free if they got relegated, did they? |

I wouldn't be surprised if Ba has a release on free contract if the club gets relegated. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if there isn't a clause in there somewhere that West Ham have to pay for his plane ticket to his new club. |

Say what you want about their fat, shirtless fans, it is good to see Newcastle getting back on track.
They have a huge stadium, they usually fill the place, and they genuinely seem to love football and their team. |

Guitirrez--Barton---Tiote---Cabaye---Ben Arfa
Is easily on of the best midfield's outside the top 5 and With demba ba up top I think they have a great chance for a uefa cup spot. Defence could be their downfall. But it sounds like they have more money to spend so they could get even stronger |

Great deal for Newcaslte, I said in January that they were right not to spend money on Carroll's replacement because they'd be screwed up by whoever they approached back then. They are using the £35m from Carroll's deal really well so far, Ba (signed for nothing) will provide them with goals and Cabaye at £5m was a great bargain too.
Why did West Ham let him go on a free though? He signed for them in January for £7m, that's some bad management! |

Wonder why Nolan opted for Westham ? I don't understand this move, can anyone enlighten me ?
Also, I don't think Ba alone will be enough, they'll probably need 1 more striker if Niles does not improve the way he should... They also have to look for a new LB if they part with Enrique... A player they will hugely miss imo. |

Yeah nothing too fancy....
1st goal was a good strike, the other two were headers - one from close range, and the other a bit of a glancing effort. Good though, showed his classy side and then the opportunistic side. It's about his injuries, if he holds up, he'll be a massive asset for Newcastle and an excellent signing. |

The Daily Mail are reporting our interest in him due to a £5m release clause in the summer. A member of his 'management team' seems to confirm the United interest in somewhat broken English, though says there's 'nothing concrete'.
Demba Ba tracked by Manchester United | Mail Online I'm a big fan of Ba and think he has what it takes to make it. |
