I just noticed your post. If £500k is really dependable on their promotion then I wouldn't really count on it as Burnley are not good enough to be up there, as for appearances... Well, I'm not even fully convinced he will get to play regularly there but that should come out well, so it's basically a £1m offer.

I think it's clear that Fergie doesn't think Eagles is first team material or he would have been given more chances.
But we would be looking short on the wings: I love Giggsy but I think his wing days are over, I'm not sure if Park ever was a winger, plus he might have a fucked knee anyway - I may be the only one here but I do seriously think we need another winger. |

Honestly there isn't much difference for me between £1m we get and £1.5m we could get. It's about as much as Rio or Ronaldo earn per month and it makes no difference to how much we will be able to spend.

Deserves a Premier League club. He's got far too much technique and skill for the Championship. Had big hopes for him, he had a great pre-season last summer, scoring some nice goals and that coming back of the goal at Goodison in basicly our Championship sealing match and a start vs Chelsea, it really looked like he's finally going to break through and make it. It wasn't to be though, which is a big shame. Another good English talent replaced by a forigner.

He never looked like making it at United to be honest. The goal against Everton was class but he was a tactical substitution in that match and we played our third string side at Stamford with Kieran Lee and Dong on the pitch as well. He didn't impress. |

Burnley these days seem to play football on the deck so he should fit in well there. They need a really good striker as well and they could get promoted.

Eagles leaving us is beginning to look very likely:
Burnley keen on Eagles Burnley manager Owen Coyle is hoping to complete a deal for Manchester United winger Chris Eagles. The Clarets are prepared to pay a club-record fee for the 22-year-old, but admit they face competition from another club. Eagles has found opportunities limited at Old Trafford since making his debut in October 2003, and has not made a first-team appearance since last December. He could cost Burnley more than the £1.3million they recently paid Scunthorpe for striker Martin Paterson, but Coyle believes it would be money well spent. "It's a bit complicated in that there is another club interested in him, but he has real quality," Coyle said. "We had a terrific meeting with him and his representative, obviously with permission from his club, because there would be a big fee involved in that." |

Good technique but thats about it, disappears alot in games. Did well for Watford but was pretty poor for wednesday (club in turmoil at the time though). Best of lucky to the shaper, I'll always remember his bandy run when scoring that goal against Everton!
