Not really what we are looking for though, he could maybe act as a replacement for Giggs in the short-term if Nani's not ready but that's about it. I assume he's having a good game?

He has, i was impressed by him the in the UEFA cup final but he's shown he is a consistently a good player. Would definitely be worth a shout.

He's shown consistently that he is more than good, but he operates in the same sort of areas as Tevez and Rooney when up front and in a year or so Nani will probably become better.

Why do the russians have such fantastic technique? Their ball control and ball striking techniques are brilliant!

Yet they don't have any flair - just seem to have that simple excellence.

Its like 11 rooneys without the skill.

We will have to wait and see on Nani. Personally I'm not suggesting that we sign Arshavin but I'd rather get him than say Huntelaar. He's shown he is a good player and it would be foolish not to consider if he could fit into the team. Your expert opinion says there really isn't any place then fair enough. All I was saying is that he should be considered.

It might be to do with so many Brazilians in the Russian league?

What is that supposed to mean?

I saw them tonight and they impressed me again tonight. Just like they've done through out a good portion of last season. Same goes for Guiza. A mobile, two footed big man. Seems very similar to Viduka in style IMO.

Why? He isn't really a striker. But he is a natural play maker who can play wide or just behind a striker. He could infact be an excellent wide man to have.

I just used Huntelaar because I don't rate him much. But yeah Arshavin should be someone we should consider targeting if Ronaldo was to leave, get him and a young up and comer and we should hopefully be ok.

I agree with all those who have said Arshavin. He looks fantastic. This isnt a knee jerk reaction just based on tonight (even though he did play well). He looks like a great talent and is 27. Not to old and is experienced in an international sense.

So you watched 2 games at once then? And still managed to keeps tabs on individual players?
