I'll give you Bayern but the rest I disagree. He's better than what we have in midfield, he's better than Barry, Milner and De Jong, would start alongside Toure for City. He'd also get into Arsenal's midfield as one of the three alongside Wilshere.

You should get over the fact Banega ran over your cat or whatever it was that made it your mission in life to come on a forum and badmouth a player you havent seen much

Its beyond pathetic now

Time will tell. I have seen enough of this guy to stand by my comments, even if others don't agree with me.

You wouldn't have too Kid, he and Carrick would be a great pairing imo. Banega has a lot of attributes, if he played with Carrick he would operate similarly to Scholes. If he played with Anderson or Cleverley he would play as a deep lying playmaker.

I think he is just what we need personally. He would certainly give us the type of ball retention and technical ability in the middle that so many seem to covet. He would also add versatility and increase the effectiveness of any 2 or 3 man midfield combination we opted to choose.

He's not better than Carrick and I wouldn't see him getting in over Anderson or Cleverley. Seeing as we only play 2 in the middle. It would be very push and shove to say he'd be guaranteed a starting spot.

That would be the same with anyone short of Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, S-Steiger and you could make the argument for Modric with his early season form. None of our CMs have guaranteed starting spots, Carrick was out of the team with Cleverley replacing him through form at the beginning of the season for example.

Banega would be our best passer after Scholes though which would likely see him being given more playing time than others. Plus his skillset is made for playing in a midfield 2 whereas someone like Anderson or Jones is arguably better in a 3.

Modric would replace any off our midfield crop regardless of his early season form. Thats the difference. Banega just isn't there yet.

Opinion. Modric has definitely gone up a level this season and Banega has not, though. Thats why I said you can make the case for it.

Was it the bloke from East17 who ran over himself with his own car, while driving his own car?

Valencia's players have previous though. Remember Canizares missing the world Cup because he cut his foot on a bottle of aftershave?

My cousin in England did the same with his elderly parents in the car, which rolled down a hill after running over his foot.

That's way I have always driven automatics, screw the standard transmissions and the hand brake crap.

David Seaman did his back in by stretching for the remote control too quickly because he was in a hurry to record an episode of Coronation Street.
