I'm not sure why those are the 5 choices because they share little in common - Reus and Hazard are fundamentally different players to Ganso, for example.

I don't think much thought went into the choices as far as where they'd fit in etc., just the ones that he finds most exciting right now.

By that logic he should've included M'Vila or Martinez. Would prefer either of those to any of the ones mentioned.

Stange come and get him European clubs but don't

Santos: No offers yet for Ganso

Santos president Luis Ribeiro says he has yet to receive any official bids for Ganso, but admitted he may have to sell the highly-rated midfielder should an acceptable offer arrive.

Ganso, 22, has been courted by some of Europe's biggest clubs for some time, with Milan pair AC and Inter the most closely linked to his signature.

The likes of PSG and Manchester United have also reportedly shown an interest but despite claims in December that Milan had tabled a £16.5 million bid, Ribeiro insists he has yet to receive a formal offer for the Brazil international.

"If the player wants to leave, we will have to listen to offers. But as of today, no offer for him has yet arrived," Ribeiro told O Globo.

"The desire of the player is most important. If Ganso wants to leave Santos and our interests are preserved, we can negotiate."

The player's preference appears unclear at present, with reports in Brazil suggesting he is ready to test himself in Europe.

However, Ganso claimed at the end of November that he would be keen to enter discussions about a new contract.

"My desire is to reach an agreement with those at Santos and extend my contract here," he said. "I have told the president I want to talk in January after the Club World Cup."

Santos are twats. They just dissolved their multi medal winning women's team because they couldn't afford to keep it running after giving Neymar a massive wage.

Tottenham target Brazil midfielder Ganso for £15 million
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to hold talks today to sign the highly-rated Brazilian international midfielder Ganso in a deal that would be worth more than £15 million.

Ganso’s agent, Teodoro Fonseca, arrived in London yesterday and is hoping to meet Spurs to discuss the future of the player who has been told he can leave Santos in this transfer window if a deal can be struck.

Santos president Luis Oliveira recently announced that Ganso could go if "the offer matches our expectations" before adding that the club had yet to receive a bid. It’s understood that 55 per cent of Ganso’s contract rights are currently held by an investment group, ***.

A host of Europe’s leading clubs, including Manchester United and both AC and Inter Milan, have been linked with a move for the talented 22-year-old who recently featured in the Fifa World Club Cup in Japan.

Although, ultimately, he and Santos disappointed in losing heavily in the final to Barcelona, Ganso is still regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in world football. Whether he can cope with the physical demands of the Premier League remains to be seen.

Spurs are third in the table, just six points behind leaders Manchester City and with a game in hand and manager Harry Redknapp is keen to improve his squad for the second half of the campaign. Redknapp has intimated that he would like to make a significant signing this window and it had been thought he was keen to attract a striker, although he said he had no specific transfer targets.

He would be a risky buy, so splashing £20m on him won't be ideal but its 'Arry.

Some cracking quotes from Harry Redknapp now, who's been chatting to London 24 about Ganso and other things.

Regarding a £15million move for the Brazilian midfielder, 'Arry said, "I've never heard of him. Where does he play? What position? I don't get to Brazil too often to watch games."

That's true Harry, very true. And nor did we know the slightest thing about Sandro before signing him.

Because, as everyone knows, it is impossible to know what position someone plays without making the trip to see them play in the flesh.

He is saying he doesn't know who he is and where he plays, yet 'Arry knows somehow he plays in Brazil.

I found it quite refreshing that he was so honest though. It's rare you hear a manager say they've never even heard of someone. He could have easily pretended he knew.

Probably because the question asked was about "Santos player".....I mean he's pretty English through and through, but I'm sure he knows Santos is a Brazilian team.

Porto bid for him today. Offer's undisclosed, but Santos have no interest in selling according to president, Oliveira Ribeiro. He drives a hard bargain.

Think the point was that there's no way he didn't know and that he was pretending he DIDN'T know
