I reckon it'll inevitably happen, but just like Henry, I don't think it will be as catostrophic as it may seem when he does leave. I can see a similar scenario and the likes of Nani and Anderson stepping up a gear or two, there'll never be a player bigger than the club and that includes Ronaldo. |

darn beat me to it!Come on United will survive and still dominate. Ronaldo has been grand this season no doubt but come on everyone played at a 100%. The lack of goals would be made up by bringing in Eto'o or Benzema. The creativity could go to someone like Ribery who has been awesome this year and the years previous. Ashley Young is as good an attacking winger for a Brit you can get at the moment and could be bought cheap enough to spend big on a striker. Nani has done well this year and Park has showed he's not just a bench player. Our defense wouldn't be effected because Ronaldo doesn't play defense. I think winning the CL would be the only way he'd think of going just because he'd have done most of what can be done in the PL and so would want to head to Spain. But in Spain I can't see him as being as good because A. at Real he wouldn't get as good of service and B. Spanish defenders are used to step overs unlike PL players who seem afraid of Ronaldo- they'd be used it. Look at howthe Barca defenders treated him... He'd still be great but I think people fail to see how much United and its players have helped make Ronaldo the best in the world. A bit more then was asked and will probably get bashed ![]() |

But in all seriousness i reckon with the £100mil we should invest in research to make a robot player. Of course his stats will be based on pro evo stats so everything will have to be 99. He should be tall too.

I rate Messi very high but he wont score 40 goals in a feckin season and he gets injury pretty easily from what i have seen. |

Fact of the matter is Ronaldo does score goals by himself and does make things out of nothing but so does other players. The players around United AKA Rooney who assisted him greatly also helped Ronaldo. Without that support and everyone working harder so he can just roam around, he wouldn't of score as much. Shoot Rooney as our striker plays more defense then Ronaldo when he's a winger. Plus how many times has he gone for the harder goal instead of laying off the ball to say Rooney for an easy goal. I guess he's very much like Best (who is a favorite of mine) where he scores all these goals and what have you but watching the goals he tends to favor doing things himself and scoring whereas someone like Rooney prefers now to look first for the easy goal and then go for the harder- just a different way of playing. We can get another striker to score goals and a winger to supplement creativity. He doesn't "ALWAYS" start the games, some games he disappears for the whole game. I think too many fans have assumed that Ronaldo has done everything ignoring the other players. He didn't really relieve the defense in situations where he was a lone striker like against Barca, Rooney is better for that. I like Ronaldo (well except that he's lazy at defense and cries when he gets knocked about) so don't take this as a rant. I'm just saying Ronaldo did not win us the league and I'm confident if we got the right players we'd be just as good. |

If it were possible to actually get messi then i'd actually want ronaldo to go.
cus of ronnys stinky attitude and ego, he acts like hes bigger than the club at times. and as we all know deep down he doesnt want to be here. hes never gonna be as valuable as he is now, im entitled to my opinion by the way. (messi is pretty untouchable anyway) |

Ribery is as proven as any, of course Messi is brilliant he is on par with Ronaldo, but gets injured to often and I think it will affect his career over time sadly, Ribery is the one who could replace him, could purchase Benzema as well with the money. That said I think ronaldo's comments were more of a fuck off to the media, leave me alone, than a declaration that he wanted to leave United

Of course Ronaldo isn't a team, neither is Rio or Rooney, nor is Messi a team. But without Ronaldo, our best player this season and last, we wouldn't have won the league, that much is pretty obvious to me. |
