Well, if he's good enough then why not.
I'd imagine we'd try and turn him into a winger, rather than a centre mid. Also, is he left or right footed? We could do with some more lefties. |

I'd never seen him before, and after a quick skim through this thread I was expecting a central midfielder. But he seems more of an attacking midfielder or winger, that would be quite suitable for our 4231/433 formation but not so much the 442.
Of course, I'm basing that on about 25 minutes of play. ![]() |

Of what I saw in just 25 minutes I'd say he looked a little too eager to impress with his first 2/3 moments in the game which is understandable. Once he settled down the class he has on the ball stood out from a mile off and it was easy to see why he is so highly rated.

His first few touches on the ball were poor. But he grew into the game. He did well enough for a 17 year old. But it's hard to know what kind of player he could develop into. He's neat on the ball but he did not get a chance to exhibit the pace you would like to see in a winger. And we can't tell if he's going to build up enough physically to play as an attacking midfielder.
He would probably be worth a gamble for 5m. If it was 10m then it would seem like a big risk. |
