I've only seen him once in the FA cup & I thought he was a left-footed winger. He was a bit good though.

So have we signed him?

Many people seem convinced he is joining us.

There was information on Wikipedia a few days ago that Huntelaar has already agreed terms with us, only for it to disappear after a few hours.

Everybody can add anything they want to Wikipedia and for as long as some mod doesn't check if it's really true, it can be there for some time. Therefore I wouldn't rely on Wikipedia as transfer news source..

Calm down. Everything the press writes aren't done deals. Especially not transfer fees..

the valuation part in that article is bs .. if he is as good as that guardian article says then he's worth a lot more than 2m

Yes he would be worth more than 2m.

I would be surprised if we put a hell of a lot more than 2m up-front, these deals are usually spread over a period of time (installments) or bonus payments related to international or fist team appearances.

Much of the Walcott deal was done in that way, it makes sense.

Or perhaps the 5m package is similar to Rooney... X league appearances, X goals, X international appearances, maybe even another league title or two before we pay that full amount.

Claridge gave Fraizer 8s and 9s across the board, then valued him at 1mp. That's about 25% of his real value so I wouldn't pay attention to that part of the report.

Just spoke to my Cardiff mate to ask him if he knew anything that was going on. He said everything at the moment is just rumours, and the papers are just chucking out these stories because of the end of season.

He did say that there's definite interest from us though and has been a while, as well as most of the top teams in the premiership so that much is true. The Cardiff chairman and manager were also at the Nou Camp during our game a few weeks ago, so make of that what you will (he reckons they've were to for a meeting with some potential investors to help sort out the clubs financial problems, but it also seems that United had some involvement with the being there.)

There's also talk of us either sending him back on loan as soon as we sign him, which would make sense, or giving Cardiff a player or two on loan in return.

It's all just rumours though, so you can't really read into anything. Nothing to get excited about. He said it's very likely Ramsay will be leaving for the premiership come the summer though.

looks like they're certain he will sign.

I'll believe it when I see it on Manutd.com.

I could see Martin going in exchange, either on loan or permanently. Other possibilities could include Gibson or Hewson, perhaps Brandy for a loan spell. Assuming this happens of course.

I saw him play in the FA Cup semifinal and he didn't do much that I saw after subbing for an injured player early in the second half. From what I saw he played on the right wing but I wasn't watching intensely like I would a MUFC match. Maybe he'll be a Beckham type - started out as a midfielder before being pushed to the wing.

They've lifted that second article from looking at this site and finding the relevant links.

Yeah he can play on the wing, happens to a lot of young players though before they can be trusted in the middle (or vice versa if you're Gerrard).

If Brandy goes there it will be a big test of character for him.

The question we all ask ourselves now is probably: Is he any good on FM?

He played at right-back in that game from what I remember. Dave Jones has admitted he has no idea what Ramsey's best position is yet (but also said he's such a natural footballer he's comfortable playing him in any position because he knows he'll do a good job). I've seen him play right back, central midfield, both wings and as a forward. From what I've seen, he has fantastic potential. I think I'd like to see him get another year at Cardiff though before moving on (even if United sign him i.e. loan him back - although I very much doubt that would happen).

Yes he played at right back when he came on against Barnsley and has played other positions but his future lies as a midfield playmaker from what i've seen of him. I went up to Wembley to watch the semi final with my mates who are Cardiff season ticket holders and they were all gutted when the team was announced and Ramsey was on the bench.
Every Cardiff fan I know rates the kid as a special talent and they have been telling me for months that he'll be at Old Trafford after this season.

I'm from Cardiff
Nothing will be confirmed till after the Cup Final but the Cardiff Directors were at the Nou Camp as said above apparently "try to impress potential investors"

The Rumour i've heard is that its 5million up front, 5 million in clause and two loan players. Ramsey is one and the other is rumoured to be Tom Heaton

Little lost there... you mean the club will loan Ramsey back or did you intend to mention a current United reserve/youth player?
