The last three years he's been immense. From April to November he's been crap (due to first a niggling injury that he didn't get over properly until October and going from a midfielder who drifts to the left to suddenly being played as a right wing forward), to The last month where he's slowly getting his form back, and adjusting to his new position. I've never played Football Manager but have watched Serie A and a lot of other leagues and teams a lot.

Gambit, you're made for FM. Although I fear if you started playing it, you'd probably never see daylight again

Fair enough.

It must be the fact that he's young and Portuguese then, because he's not very good!

He's been made worse on FM this year, therefore it is clear that he is no longer a top talent.

I refused to purchase football manager 2011 purely on the basis of the outrageous decline in Hamsiks stats.

They will no longer get a penny of my hard earned pimp money.

I managed to have a look at the game the other day for the first time, and saw this star system for the first time (not played one since 2008, so this might not have been as new as I thought).

As ever, the first thing I did was look over the United team, their youngsters, other Premiership players, and then the very best of the rest all round the world.

Obviously, I was interested to see just how much of a God Lionel Messi was, only to find that he was a four and a half star footballer. If Messi is not a five star player, then just who the fuck is?!

I've never seen a 5 star player on FM.

Anyway, back on topic... uh ... he's an ugly lookin' fecker.

Yeah but that was three years ago when he was younger and obviously everyone thought he has potential and is going to be big in the coming years.

That's just weird. I can see the series has gone into a fairly sharp Liverpool-esque decline since 2008/09, then.

Ok a quick Hamsik comparing guide.
Hamsik at 23. Played with Napoli. Scored 37 goals for Napoli with 127 appearances.
Nedved at 23. Played with Sparta Prague. 12 goals with 68 appearances.
Gerrard at 23. Played with Liverpool (Captain). 22 goals with 136.
Lampard had just joined Chelsea, with West Ham he had 147 appearances and scored 24 goals.
Don't forget Hamsik has been injured, out of form and playing in a totaly alien position this season and has still scored 7 goals already.
So FM can stick it's stats up it's arse.

Gunnar, in what? Never said he'll be better than Nedved. I'll let Nedved decide though.

I've never said we'd sign him, nor do I believe we ever will. His agent has ruled out City though, whilst Hamsik has declared he would find it hard to turn us down. I win. The Real danger is in Spain.

It would be fun to see him sign for City to see how you react to that. Would you be able to bear the fact that your Hamsik plays for Shitty? It's happened in FM too

Transfer Muppet

Nice comments from Nedved, typical of him really but I respectively disagree. Ive seen Hamsik live and do rate him aswell btw.

Hamsik has the possibility of being as good as, even better than, or worse than Nedved. I don't think he'll ever have Nedveds grace on the ball but there is a possibility of him being better. Why has no one commented on the 23 years old stats.

That's an amazing bit of analysis. Given there are only those three possibilities, this kid is going to be amazing!

All I meant was his career could go anywhere now. So to say he won't be better than Nedved is as pointless as sying he will. My stats that deserve applauding though show he's definetly on the right track.

Yet not a single person has said, "that actually very impressive, more goals than Gerrard, Lampard or Nedved at the same age. This lad could be some player."
