Messi: Come get me, Inter!

Wednesday 2 July, 2008

Inter, Milan and Roma are on red alert after Leo Messi's father confessed “My son dreams of Serie A.”

The Barcelona starlet had always been considered untouchable, but could be allowed to move on this summer as part of the club's revolution.

“For the moment we are thinking of Barcelona, which is a second home for Leo, and he wants to make up for all his injury problems,” Jorge Messi told Sportal.

“Having said that, clearly playing in Italy is the dream of every player, including my son.

“Seeing as nobody knows what will happen in the future, let us just say it is possible that sooner or later that dream can come true.”

The 21-year-old Argentine has long been a target for Inter chief Massimo Moratti, but up until now he was considered beyond all reach.

“Let's just say there has been no official contact with Inter,” continued Messi Sr.

“Nothing official. I prefer not to add anything else to that statement. As I said before, things could change in the future.”

As the Nerazzurri run into problems to sign Jose Mourinho's targets Ricardo Quaresma and Frank Lampard, they could make a definite change of direction for Messi.

President Moratti has always said Messi is his dream signing and at long last that could become reality.

Possibly, he signed a contract a few years back. That was until 2014. Must be kicking himself for signing such a long one.

To bad he doesn't dream of the English league. Or not, since Chelsea would surely go all out for him.

If Messi wanted a new contract he'd just ring up Laporta and ask for one.

This story sounds like typical media bollocks to me. "Playing in Italy is the dream of every player", it's not the 90s anymore. And Roma could never afford Messi, doubt Milan could either considering their being priced out of moves for Adebayor and Ronaldinho.

Tabloid bollocks. He's not going to go anywhere. The entire Barca team is being built around him, why would he want to leave ? Utter nonsense.

A nothing article. Sure maybe one day he will play in Italy but not for a while. The men in charge of Barca would be murdered if they let him go.

They do have Kaka though.

Sell/swap could be an option.

Read an article today that claimed that Messi was going to make a 40Million £ move to a cash-rich Zenit this week. C'mon, where are they going to draw the line ? Too late i suppose.

Clearly the tabloids attempts to feck United over this Summer are failing so the next step for the tabloid slime is to try and rock the boat at Barca!

Who the fuck would dream of Serie A when you already play for arguably the second best club in the world and in a far better league?

Dumbest transfer rumour ever. Everyone knows that Messi is EXTREMELY grateful to Barcelona with how they helped him cope with his growth deficiencies, and how they payed for all his medical procedures. He won't leave Barcelona until he has helped them win everything.

Still this could well be within 3 years, by which time he will still only be 24.
