How anyone who has Arshavin in his side gets to turn his nose up at "our" Park, is something I just don't understand. How they could have used him on Sunday.

Bendter has scored 2 goals in one half so far. They've replaced Bendtner.

I didn't actually know this until I read it just then, but when he came on on Sunday it was his first league appearance for Arsenal.

Thought you were going to say you've only just realised he came on on Sunday. Not sure if he touched the ball.

I've yet to see any sort of reason for signing him. He looks a very mediocre player.

3/3 passes completed.

Best pass completion in the entire league

Really need to work on his physique, which I'm sure he is aware of, if he wants to make it in the PL.

He's immense for Korea and did well in France. Wenger has just lost the plot. Now he's signing experienced players then letting them rot on the bench. He also brought back that young Japanese winger who was loaned out to a Dutch side for half a season and won a bunch of praise and their player of the year. Yet he too isn't playing.

Park is a limited player, but he's better than Arshavin at the moment. And when you need goals, you should be putting on a striker..

Ah right, You know more about Park and Miyaichi than Wenger, a football manager who works with them almost every day. If Wenger doesn't let them play it means they are still not good enough to play regularly in the 1st team.

Arshavin sures to hell isn't good enough either but that hasn't stopped Wenger from playing him in most all of their games.

Arshavin is still the the russian team captain, aint he? He is just on the field based on merit not form.

Ryo is a stud. He was loaned to Feyenoord where he scored three goals in twelve appearances and had more than three assists (can't find exact tallies but they mention he has had at least three assists).

As for whether or not Wenger has lost the plot - when you have players mouthing "no" to your decisions and you're playing the likes of Arshavin who has done NOTHING this season, then you need to reconsider yourself. Wenger is still a great manager, but he needs to take a step back. We have given our young players opportunities; Wenger is too scared to do the same at the moment.

Ox Chamberlain and Szchesney(sp?) would counter that argument would they not? Maybe he just hasn't shown enough in training?

Arsenal's Park Chu-Young allowed to delay his military service

South Korea has allowed the Arsenal striker Park Chu-young to delay his compulsory military service for 10 years.

South Korea's Military Manpower Administration said on Friday that Park's 10-year residency visa from Monaco means he can put off his service until 2022.

Park joined Monaco in 2009 and played for the French club for two seasons before joining the Gunners at the start of the season. The 26-year-old was expected to begin his service either this year or next year.

All South Korean men are required to serve two to three years in the military.

I quote wiki:

Quote:
On 1 November, Chu-Young started his first UEFA Champions League match, a 0–0 draw against French outfit Marseille. He scored his first goal for Arsenal in the fourth round of the Carling Cup against Bolton Wanderers giving them a 2–1 win.

He made his Premier League debut for Arsenal as a substitute, 82 minutes into a 2–1 home defeat by Manchester United, on January 22, 2012.

On 6 March 2012, he made an appearance as a sub for Theo Walcott in the UEFA Champions League in the 3-0 win against AC Milan at the Emirates Stadium. The Italians won the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
Impressive... I know!

Many(or all) of the 2002 World Cup Squad of South Korea was given an exception due to them reaching the SF.

No he didn't have to. He was exempted because of the World Cup in 2002, as did all the other players.

Park Ji-Sung started his military career like he did his Manchester United one, with lots of potential and a hint of mystery. Traditionally - and for every serving conscript before him - the minimum age for joining would be between 20 to 30 years old. Park joined at 15. Even at that age, it became apparent to those above him that Park was no ordinary solider, in fact he wasn't even a normal human. On one routine training exercise in orienteering, Park was seen jogging out of the designated zone. Two weeks later he arrived back at the compound, having run to Mongolia and back. No-one knew why. Unlike previous conscripts before him, Park was used in ever-increasingly strange ways to service the military and nation. One example was the order given to him alone, to run the entire perimeter of the country in thirty days, wearing a GPS tracker in order to provide the basis for an advanced sat-nav layout. He did it in 15. Park faced a brief period of action after a skirmish had broken across the DMZ. He received high praise for his unorthodox tactics in breaking down the enemy lines, and constantly harassing their soldiers, allowing them absolutely no space at all. North Korean soldiers admitted it was simply no fun, and withdrew to the safe zones. After a nine year spell, his military service came to an end, with Park apologizing for the brief contribution, and ending his campaign as he started it, with a lap of honour around the nation.

No, in his rare forays into the first team I formed an opinion which has been confirmed for me by Chamakh getting on the pitch before him when they call for a sub.

He keeps giving Chamakh and other subs runs out instead of him. It has fuck all to do with RVP. Unless you want to tell us he can't do anything else apart from being RVP's direct back up.
