Ronaldinho

I have somehow managed to get myself quite excited about the prospect of ronaldinho coming to United. This without any speculation or even one tabloid suggestion that he could be on his way.

He has apparently said he will decide on his future in a couple of weeks, could this be to give teh Ronaldo situation chance to play out and maybe United come calling?

All completely unsubstantiated speculation, but could Ronaldinho replace Ronaldo? How bad was he last season? could he regain form? would you be happy to sse the toothy mother fucker in a red shirt? I think i'd love it...

Same thing happened to me, but then I realised it won't happen .

Ronaldinho could be worth a shot but Fergie probably doesn't think so. We'll probably buy someone young.

Fucking Scolari, what made him God all of a sudden.

Anyway hasn't Ronaldinho openly said he wouldn't want a move to Chelsea? I still think if United wanted to we could have a great chance of getting him, but I really don't think fergie would take the risk. Do dream about him coming though! Maybe Anderson will have a word in his ear at the olympics

I remember back in 2003 when we looked all set to sign Ronaldinho only for him to then sign for Barcelona, I distinctly remember him saying that he would one day love to play for Manchester United.

You never know stranger things have happened.

We could kidnap him when he lands at Manchester Airport on his way to talk to City...

Yea, he said sth like this, but it was because of the boring football philosophy Chelsea has had. That could change now with Scolari. He probably would choose them before us, also Deco will probably be there and they also have Belleti.

Sign him. He is like Okocha.Showed great promise very early on in his career, mucked about, displayed his talent, then trailed off and now he needs to revive his career again much like Okocha did under the guidance of Big Sam.

Sign him, perhaps one of the five most gifted players in the world if not THE

Thing is, when those quotes were attributed to him about not wanting to play for Chelsea they were playing really shite, really boring football under a manager who looked and acted more like a slug than a confident, charismatic footballing mentor.

Suddenly they've got Scolari, which means not only is there actually the promise of good, attacking football, but Ronaldinho has also worked and enjoyed success with him before.

Ronaldinho to Chelsea honestly doesn't seem to be such a silly idea, anymore. If they get Deco, too, then it'll sadden me, because they'll probably have more flair players at the club than we do!

I would think there is a possibility of it happening. We'll see. If Madrid got Ronaldo, believe me they couldn't afford Ronaldhinio too. Additionally, I think personally he wants to play in the best league ...

I think if we are interested, we'll try and keep it as quiet as possible - especially after last time.

But you don't know whether he'll turn into a Kluivert or an Okocha.

True, but if there's any club that can get the best out of him it's United. I think it'd breath new life (if he needed it) into Sir Alex and Ronaldhinio. I hope it happens because I feel with his talent, he's due another 3/4 years of great performances.

He's not done enough with the ability he has, but at 28 he's got a chance to get his head together, get his head down and play for the worlds best club

Difficult situations though in every instance. Chelsea just outbid everyone for essien. We messed up with Robben as for Mikel, he had to be kidnaped lol

Kluivert went to play for Souness, Okocha went to one of Fergie's minions

It all depends on what Ronaldinho wants, not what SAF wants him to do. If he has even a glimpse of self-motivation left in him then I would be more than happy to see SAF reinvent him.

He played under Ranieri and Hiddink too, considerably better managers than some fat bloke who had an even worse record at Newcastle.

I would say he wants to If you want to come to England, United are the best team. Two leagues titles in a row, Champions league winners and we play his kind of fooball

"Every player would love to play in such a competitive championship like the English league," Ronaldinho told Globo TV.

"I'm happy because almost all the teams want me to play for them."

Funny how it's only City mentioned but don't be surprised if ends up at Old Trafford. After last time, when it was all over the media..it would not surprise me one bit if we were keeping it quiet. That's of ..course if we are interested ..

Sir Alex is one of the best man managers around. Whatever the issues are, Sir Alex would deal with them and to be honest the supporters would give him a massive lift because we're more loyal and patient then a lot of fans out there. He'd also get a cool chant.

Probably something about shitting on Ronaldo or something

More successful managers they maybe BUT a Fergie minion showed that with decent man management skills, a manager could help a seemingly wayward talented individual back to good use. Ronaldinho still has the footballing talent, all he needs is a head sort. If Fergie or any other manager can do it, then they may just end up with outrageous quality for at least 4 more years

If SAF seen that he could change Ronnie's career around, then we would buy him. Doubt that's the case though.

Believe what you want, but I can't see him coming here.

Sky reported that he said he wants to play in the EPL and it's the best in the world..

Personally don't think I'd want him here. He blew it and could come back but rather we get someone new- always excited when we find unknowns.. When Ronaldo goes I wouldn't complain if he came but if it means us losing out on the potential for Eto'o then I'd take Eto'o (aren't they meant to really dislike each other?).
