It's a difficult one. granted he's ex liverpool but that aside at a good price he would be worth a punt bearing - if we get manucho in. If that's not possible then too much of a risk with his suspect fitness

If he can stay fit he's hardly past it. He might not be the player he was - but he's still a goalscorer.

You can't really knock his record at Liverpool, and he was class at Madrid. Not his fault he had Raul and Ronaldo in form ahead of him. He certainly never looked out of his depth.

His last season or two at Anfileld were so,so. He looked like a fish out of water at Madrid cos he was expected to play a bit of football which he can't really. Got a few goals but fuck all in the big games.
He won't be joining United, end of.
