Spurs going on a spending spree?

At least according to their ITK

Today I made a big effort to speak to some other journalists, specifically ones who cover Spurs. I also spoke with the father of a Spurs player and a family member who has contacts with the Spurs board.

- Sir James will verify I am not bullsh*tting.

I am in no way shape or form claiming to be an ITK. I just have access to people who are. Take this how you will, but I know how much you are all desperate to hear what is going on.

I am also aware some of this will blatantly have already been posted on here, clearly some members of the press head to Spurs Od for information.

Pavluchenko: As reported. Fee agreed, Spartak said to be very accomodating, will be completed on Friday. The delay is said to be due to Pav receiving interest from Chelsea and Spurs' reluctance to pay 16 mill. The fee is apparently 15.5mill. We are hopeful of international clearance before Monday.

Arshavin: Was never dead. Spurs broke off negotiations for .... well .... Zenit were being very Spurs-like in making negotiations very difficult. Due to ownership issues, this deal will probably not be sealed until Monday morning. However, apparently a fee was agreed on Monday night.

Corluka: Exactly what has been reported here for weeks. Deal done, Hughes pulled the plug at the last minute. Spurs feel they could take Man City to court, also expected to be announced on Monday. Everyone seems 100% this will happen and possibly even tomorrow or Saturday.

Huntelaar: Very mixed news on this. The players have been told he's a definite possibility and that a fee has been agreed. Wages will be difficult for us though, within the current structure. However, a help in this is that Keane's clause that he'll always be joint top earner is obviously no longer an issue.
However, the BBC, as reported, spoke with his agent who completely denied. If this one is true, Spurs have done a terrific job in keeping it under wraps.

Veloso: Not a red herring. Was Ramos' number one summer target according to one source. Three people I spoke to today believe a fee has been agreed, they want to keep Moutinho more and he will now not be allowed to move to Everton. Again, he was reluctant to commit to Spurs earlier in the summer.

Berba: His agent was given the greenlight to negotiate with United at the start of the week. The talk is that a fee is agreed, along the lines of 15 million upfront and 13 over the next two years. There are add-ons, which will be spread across his four year contract. Deal is for around 90,000 a week, but Spurs won't allow a medical or his registration to be released until at least one striker signs.

Milito: On a season long loan is a plan B and easy to do. However, there are concerns if he's Premier League class, as Everton have already passed on him.

Woodgate: Did have a dust-up with Berba last week. He called him a **** and Berbs has been an outcast in the dressing room since.

As I say, take this as you will, journalists have been wrong a lot about Spurs this summer. However, I expect at the very least to sign the two Russians, Veloso and Corluka and I for one would have settled for that after Saturday!

Also fair thee well Lee Young Pyo, a scholar and a gentleman if ever there was one. For me he was always a good squad player.

As I say, I am not claiming to be an ITK, so if you disagree with this stuff, fine, but don't shoot the messenger.

I wonder IF they would get these player if they would still be shit???

As someone on this forum said a short while ago, there must be about 900 people present when Spurs do their negotiating.

I hope they do spend. They must sell Berbatov to raise more funds and time is running out.

They'll be extremely lucky to get 2 of these before the window closes. That's if they sell Berbatov right here right now.

Veloso was supposed to go there a month ago according to Glaston's ITK, as for Corluka they apparently took the case to the court a month ago as well according to Glaston's ITK.

They will probably end up with Pavlyuchenko only.

I didn't relay any info. from a Spurs ITK saying that Veloso was signing for Spurs - at best I may have said that he was a hoped-for target signing.

Corluka? Watch this space.

whatever that means

When was it that Spurs "almost signed" the top 2-3 players in the world in one summer? I think fat Ronado was one of them (or Ronaldinho).

Rivaldo as well. If Spurs showed the same sort of invention on the pitch as their fans do on the net they wouldn't need fantasy signings to top the table.

I know so many Spurs fans who are really starting to lose faith in Spurs now. It's about time after years of an almost arrogant optimism.

Supporting Spurs and England. Christ, you've got it bad, I said.

Who can blame them.

They have everything going for them, a decent team, decent manager, great stadium & loyal fans, and Levy & his cahoots are fucking it all up!

Levy has been playin a game Leagues above himself & has come out looking very egotistical & arrogant. Why does he have this crusade against United. I know the Berbatov thing must annoy him, but thats not Uniteds fault, he wants to play for us - we're just trying to take advantage of the situation - thats football - thats business & Levy being a business man should understand that more than anyone!

He's really showed himself to be a little out of his depth when it comes to the football world. Its different to a normal business world - but he thinks he's the Godfather! His rant that Fergie is a hypocrite was stupid & he didnt take a moment to chill & wait for further comments before shooting his mouth off prematurely!

If they dont agree a fee with United, then Spurs season will be fucked. There's already discontent in the dressing room & that'll only continue, it wont get any better nor will Berbatov forgive Spurs for denying him his dream move & for very good money, a profit of over £15m based on United's alleged £25m bid, and all because Levy's got ego issues!

Anyway, I used to like Spurs but everytime I think of them I only see Levy & I fucking hate that man - Commolli i'm not so sure about!

Get rid of those cunts Spurs before you become a laughing stock & that would be a shame because of one individual

It's hardly all Levy's fault, the board have given Ramos plenty of money to buy whoever he wants basically, so he's done his part. The Berbatov saga should be a distraction and very little else.

Not sure I agree with that.

By all accounts, the Berbatov saga could and would have been sorted weeks ago, if Levy hadn't thrown his little tantrum and expected United to pay over the odds as well as making a public apology for "tapping up" a la Liverpool, as some sort of balm for his damaged ego.

Meanwhile, Spurs have lost two games on the trot and are only just getting in the Robbie Keane replacement they so desperately need.

6 points dropped because of one man's misplaced crusade. The bloke's a gimp.

Ramos does not buy anyone. They have their own football director who conducts the transfer business. At least that's what I know.

Morning guys. Please dont shoot the messenger. Believe what you will and this info has been given in good faith. There is a 30-70 chance of this being true and a 90% chance this is crap. Again please dont shoot the messenger.

Huntelaar: 100% Done deal (pending berba departure). Due for a medical, once wages agreed and fee agreed with Ajax.

Arshavin: Deal is dependant on whether he can bring his dog with him. Looking good

Veloso: Dreams to play with Jenas. Spurs close to making this a reality

South Americans: Falcao and also Thiago Neves will be revealed tomorrow!

Also an un named player has completely slipped under the radar... very exciting, cannot reveal more otherwise will give away my source but i will reveal this once its completed!

Starting? Most Spurs fans I know lost faith in life years ago. Even when they win it's "yeah but we've got no drive in midfield", "we were rubbish", "I wish I was dead"

That Marvin robot from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galazy is basically your average Spurs fan, except with a slightly exaggerated head.

So it's a 100% done deal, except they haven't agreed a fee with the club, or spoken to the player.
