Supertransfermarket Sweep
Arsenal
Aston Villa Blackburn Bolton Chelsea Everton Fulham Liverpool Midlesbrough Manchester City Manchester United Newcastle Portsmouth Stoke Sunderland Tottenham West Ham West Brom Wigan We are a short a team but i'lll add them to the list as and when. Right you muppets, i'm sending you out down the footballing aisles with wee shopping list. You have to [b]objectively and realistically [in terms of the club's need, price and likely availability of a player] in your efforts, pick one signing for each club to aid them in the top flight for next season. This'll fall flat on its face if people have Liverpool buying Bornoouth's 38yr oldthird choice striker for £25m, try and be sensible. ![]() |

Arsenal - need to replace Flamini or Hleb - Barry or Ben Arfa
Aston Villa - Gattuso? Blackburn - Sidwell? Chelsea - right back is their weak point but they're getting that Portuguese bloke Liverpool - someone good to partner Torres, I think Ashton might do well there Manchester United - Benzema Newcastle - McGeady Tottenham - Eto'o would be great for them, but unlikely I think |

They'd probably have to overpay to get him but that coudl work out very nicely for Newcastle. Is he minded to leave Celtic at this stage of his career or would it be more a question of Newcastle making an offer that the club simply couldn't turn down.

Aston Villa - Ashton Blackburn - Sidwell Bolton - Saha (hopefully!) Chelsea - Kaka or, failing that, Ronaldinho. Everton - Gattuso Fulham - Jimmy Bullard to stay fit. Liverpool - Bentley Midlesbrough - Zarate Manchester City - Crouch Manchester United - Benzema Newcastle - Ben Haim Portsmouth - McFadden Stoke - An entire starting XI Sunderland - Sidwell Tottenham - Keep Berbatov West Ham - Shorey West Brom - A classy centre mid who is proven Prem quality - I cant think of any likely examples. Wigan - Vassell/Jerome |

Arsenal: Need a replacement for Flamini so no doubt Wenger will scout some good young random talent. Or Nasri/Ben Arfa sound like good choices.
Aston Villa: Sounds like they'll need to replace Gareth Barry Blackburn: Someone like Saha Bolton: Random shit Chelsea: Bosingwa (already know), no doubt they'll carry on the tradition of splashing the cash on a new striker (Anelka may leave I hear, Plus Kalou isn't the real deal). I can seriously see them placing a bid on Messi (will smash the transfer record no doubt. Can't see barca selling though. Fulham: Lower league players Liverpool: They really do need to assess the second striker issue as I don't believe Torres alone will have them challenging for the Prem, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone of a Luis Fabiano quality joining them, or perhaps Quaresma (more of a winger). Manchester City: New striker, they could do with some higher strike power. Someone with presence and power perhaps someone like Quagliarella. Manchester United: I'd trully love to see Benzema in a utd shirt but I don't think it'll ever happen. Hopelly we'll work out some sort of deal for a striker with Saha leaving (he gives me too much stress with his injuries). Hopefully these rumours of Owen are bollocks as it would just mean that the physios would have more work on there hands. If we do get a striker I'd love him to have some height/power and wouldn't mind too much if he were placed on the bence and then subbed on (that's Dimitar out already). Maybe a decent RB just for further back up. Also we may get a keeper as VDS is getting on, PIG doesn't seem to be world class (we need a world class keeper) and who knows what it going on with Foster. Newcastle: Need better characters people who would fight tooth and nail for the club so if they could attract a player of Gattuso quality that would be an incredible coup for them (can't see it, but you never know). Sunderland: Another united player (maybe a few) Silvestre?, Saha (if they've got enough funds) he'd probably stay fit and be a smash at a club of Sunderlands stature. Tottenham: Berbatov will leave for a big club so they will need to replace him, Maybe getting in a player like Anelka (if the rumours are true) or Luis Fabiano. Also could see Huntelaar taking a chance at a team like Spurs. Haven't wrote for everyteam only ones i have an opinion about. |

Arsenal - I think they are still in a need of a striker with Eduardo injured for a considerable period of next season and in a questionable form after injury (possibly), they will probably go and sign someone for cheap but I'd suggest Jeremy Menez of Monaco.
Aston Villa - they need someone to replace Mellberg swiftly, and to cover for a right-back position as well. Not many players like that on the market though, they will probably make a move for someone like Rangers' Cuellar. Blackburn - they need a bit of creativity in midfield, and they will probably look abroad for that. Go for Tiago, I say. Bolton - tyou can't cope with Kevin Davies as your only striker at this level. Diouf is also leaving so they need someone with pace. Possibly Saha, which would be a great move for literally every side involved. Chelsea - feck knows, they will probably make a move for big names with Ronaldinho being one of them. I could see them signing him, unless Milan trigger the move eventually, though it probably depends on their inclusion in Champions League which seems doubtful. I can't believe Chelsea have lost all their interest, Abramovich was mad about Ronnie not so long ago. Everton - I'd say their squad is pretty much completed, although they may find some quick winger handy as van der Meyde hasn't exactly turned the way they expected him to. Perhaps they will look abroad too, and perhaps they will sign someone who will shine at Euro. And it could be Blaszczykowski. Fulham - firstly they need to keep hold of Jimmy Bullard, who I regard as an excellent playmaker who the likes of Blackburn could really find handy. Then they will need to strengthen their defence by adding someone experienced. I cannot really find any names, don't ask me. Liverpool - a new year. Midlesbrough - with Alves they will be really threatening upfront, if they can secure some delivery by signing a creative playmaker. Should battle for Tiago, although I don't know if he would find a move to such club interesting. Manchester City - they will do well to keep their most influential players, then they will sign another striker, possibly Crouch, who will turn to be not good enough for their chairman. A joke of a club. Manchester United - can't comment. Newcastle - they will go for big names, we will probably see Newcastle being linked with handful of respected players and ending up with flops. Portsmouth - they don't really need to make any signing, unless it's a defender. Stoke - they need to take example of Derby and refuse to play in the league. Sunderland - waste of money predicted. Tottenham - Mahamadou Diarra, because someone else suggested it. West Ham - visit Premiership physio room and pick up every single player. Possibly Saha and long retired Haaland. West Brom - they have just signed Majewski of Groclin, who they will find very helpful if they decide to play him (I'm not sure they will). Wigan - feck knows, they don't sign well-known players anymore. |
