As Ive said I critised attitudes in general and defended myself against your insults. I have nothing against the cry baby as long as the price is right and the price is not 25m.

Im not changing my tunes. Ive never said that Berbatov = shite. Ive just said that he is not worth 25m, thats all.

At first glance 18m was a bit over the top but you have to consider that you were getting English talent, in a position we were particularly weak in (expecially when we bought Carrick) and at a time when good defensive midfielders were rare. Honestly I believe that we should have paid less for Hargreaves because he was a bit injury prone but there again we had to deal with a big club who didnt needed our money + Hargreaves could cover loads of positions which would have ended handy to have

Berbatov's case is different. The player wants to leave (and he is difficult to handle) + Spurs had already set their eyes on who should replace him. If they keep him then next year he will be sold peanuts while the year after he will walk on free. Unlike FC Hollywood (Bayern) Spurs cant afford that + there is no one ready to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a player with no merchandizing value. Not to forget that this summer there is a surplus of forwards on the market which should keep the price down
