Wilson Palacios

So, how good is he really?

He and Antonio Valencia has been brilliant for Wigan this season. Without them, Wigan would have finished 19th in the league.
But is Wilson good enough for a club like United, but more important..do we need him?
I think Fergie is intrested in him, but I doubt we will sign him.

Good players, but not United quality from the little I`ve seen of them.

Valencia did alright yesterday, considering we had both Evra and Park on him.

Palacios made a few decent passes, and a few swan-dives - which were pathetic.

Both of them decided to knee Vidic in the back though, which was gay.

Palacios plays like our Anderson, doesn't have the same quality of passing however, he is good enough

If Wigan can keep them both, and with Bruce as manager, I think they have a chance to finish top 10 next season.
Probably need to strenghten their squad with one CB to play alongside Scharner and a CM alongside Palacios. Michael Brown is shit really..

I think Bruce loves to be manager at Wigan, he have nothing to lose and have good players in the squad like Wilson, Valencia, Scharner, Melchiot, Kirkland and Heskey(yes).

Didn't see anything in either of them to suggest they could do a job with us. However, I've seen Wigan play twice this year. Both against us so I would take my opinion with a pinch of salt.

As others have been saying, Valencia was one of the top wingers at the 2006 WC. I think he's a very good young player who'd come fairly cheap. He'd do well in a rotating front 3.

Bottom line is, neither of them is good enough for us.

Palacios reminded me more of Makoun - only I've never seen Makoun diving about like that. Perhaps Makoun with a hint of Viera's swandiving ability.

I liked what i saw of Palacios, came deep to get the ball, turned well on the ball and was fluid with it. SAF would make him into a star. Valencia was so so.

Like ive said before, im getting a bit of a Kleberson/Bellion vibe from them. They may have potential but seriously they are not outstanding enough to add to our already capable squad of midfielders and wingers. A striker remains the main target.

Didn't rate them much VS us. I'd only go for a winger who seriously plays against us and does a really good job ala C.Ronaldo at the age of 18 who nutmegged O'shea. Find someone in the Nani mould or a new young prospect would be more suitable. No thx to me.
