Yann M’Vila

I saw him linked with a move to Liverpool earlier in the week and I just saw an article claiming Arsenal are now interested as well.

Personally I was impressed with him on Wednesday night, he was positionally aware, passed it nicely and covered his defensive duties well; allowing Gourcuff and Nasri to get forward and create, but I was wondering for those that follow the French league and see him on a regular basis, how good is he?

He looks like a great player but Pogba will be ready in a few years so I reckon Fergie will wait for him to come through!

This kid is amazingly mature for his age.By far the most consistent french player since Laurent Blanc took over. He's just 18 but plays the game as if he's 30 years old.
At the start of last season his coach saw his potential and said he'd be a good shout to make the world cup squad and he was laughed at however Domenech included him in the last 30 squad before the WC.He surprised everyone by his potential

Well I wasn't necessarily suggesting we buy him but competition never does a team any harm.

Not at all.Toulalan is one of the dirtiest players in the ligue 1, if he can recover the ball and clatter he won' t hesitate. He always collects a high number of yellow card.Plus M'Vila is already better than him in every single aspect of the game.
M'Vila is also more than just a DM, he's a proper box to box

I like that in a defensive player. It provides a good foil complementing his counterpart in midfield.

Now Real Madrid are also interested in this guy. How many youngsters do they want? They have so many already.

£15m Liverpool Transfer Target Wants Premier League Move | CaughtOffside
Quote:
eported Liverpool target Yann M’Vila has admitted he would love to play in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old Rennes midfielder has seen his stock rise dramatically in recent times after a string of commanding performances in Ligue 1 saw him drafted into the France national team.

He has since been linked with a number of English clubs – including Tottenham and Aston Villa – but Liverpool are thought to be the frontrunners for the €15 million-rated Frenchman.

M’Vila is a tough tackling, combative midfielder; attributes which would see him suited to the Premier League – something the France international readily admits.

He told L’Equipe: “Which league do I watch on TV? The Premier League! It matches my game.

“It is a warrior’s game, where you have to show plenty of fighting spirit.

“I like to watch Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, but also Manchester City.

“I’m a big fan of the English state of mind and tackling.

“You can’t leave for a big club to be a substitute. I prefer to stay at my club to improve. I want to work more on the attacking aspect of my game – scoring and assisting.”

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool have registered their interest in M’Vila as Roy Hodgson looks to add more steel to his midfield in January.

The Liverpool boss currently has defensive midfield trio Raul Meireles, Lucas Leiva and Christian Poulsen at his disposal but is thought to be keen bolster his ranks when the transfer window opens.

New Liverpool owners NESV will reportedly back their manager with upwards of £25 million in the transfer market in order to push the club towards the much coveted top four of the Premier League.

Reinforcements in defence and attack also appear to be on the cards for Liverpool with January expected to be a busy month at Anfield. (Give Me Football – Official PFA Website)
