Smash them. Luck is returned to our team, we can play with confidence and give them revenge for last season's smashing,

    I'd play;

    De Gea
    Rafael Evans Rojo Young
    Carrick
    Herrera---- Di Maria
    Rooney
    Van Persie Wilson

I'd drop Mata after tonight and play Rooney deeper and start Wilson purely for his pace. Would be a gamble mind.

Really after 1 average performance? Fellaini was garbage first half but wasn't to bad second half made many crucial interceptions.

I agree, intercepted a good few balls in the 2nd half. Didn't see the first half due to training, so can't judge that half.

Hope we smash them after last season, 1-0 is not enough here. Should have a few players back from injury too with a bit of luck. Di Maria can absolutely destroy them if he's fit though, we've missed him the last 2 games despite winning. We need Shaw back too, though obviously won't be ready for this.

    De Gea
    Rafael Evans Rojo Young
    Carrick
    Fellaini Di Maria
    Herrera
    Rooney Van Persie

Before today I thought this would be a banker. Not sure anymore now.

    De Gea
    Rafael Evans Rojo Young
    Carrick
    Herrera Mata
    Rooney
    Van Persie Di Maria
Still think we'll have enough against them at home. 4-0 to us.

    ----Carrick----
    Herrera--Di Maria
    ----Rooney----
    Van Persie--Falcao

Fellaini's done well apart from tonight. Done very well but the pressing game Southampton played got to him and Liverpool will raise themselves for this despite a poor season. Therefore we play our more creative midfielders to assert ourselves on them.

If Fellaini plays, in a box to box role or advanced role only. Not an anchor. I said in his thread that I'd prefer Fletcher there. Fellaini is limited to be disciplined in that role, lacks the composure to look after himself properly (he gets lost trying to chase the ball high up, or down the sides) and his impact is limited because he's not occupying the opponents defenders the way he would in a box to box.

Fellaini was shaken after he gave away that crucial pass for the equalizer, but after awhile he settled down and made some key interceptions towards the end. He needs to get over his nerves and not tighten up when things go poorly. I wouldn't give up on him yet... he's played well recently.

Lads should shake off performance against Soton. Need such kind of scrappy wins once in a while but not every weekend. Lads should step up and bring their A game for this. Lets thrash this looserpool.

    Last week I predicted 3-0.

Now, I'm thinking hideous 2-1 win. We go 2-0 up within 30 mins. Liverpool score after the break and I get arthritis through severe toe-curling.
