My heart dropped seeing Fellaini's name on the team sheet. Banega going to have a field day.

I won't be comfortable unless we're 2-0 up after the 1st half. It's going to be super nervy tonight. We need a big 1st half and try to score at least a goal.

If we decide to hold on 0:0 it could backfire on us, its different mentality with 0:0 in 1st away game.

He's so special. Last minutes injuries, no need to warm-up, etc.

Hope we don't let Correa at Valencia as much as last time, although his end product was poor I was terrified every time he attacked.

(Watching BT) Who's the GK coach for us these days? Can't remember seeing him before.

Silvino Louro - one of Mourinho's trusted people. He's been with him since Porto.

Yes, so I hear a lot from people who play FM more than they play football. Ultimately who the player is and how the game plays out will influence where that player ends up far more than which row they've been pictured in on a formation diagram. My post makes it fairly obvious that Pogba is a midfielder not a forward. The clue is the bit where I called him a midfielder.

The same is true of the image you've shown there. McTominay is obviously not going to be pushing ahead of Pogba, it would be totally out of character for both players. And Pogba will always push slightly to one side wherever you put him in the diagram, it's a part of his game.

I don't think we will. Can see us setting up to start like Saturday, scoring one or two early on, and if we successfully manage that then we'll sit back and defend our lead.

Gracias. I think the same. 0-0 always a tricky away result but we're in good form and there's a good buzz around the place.

If we don't get a result and draw 1-1, it would be devastating.

    Thanks pal..

But we should have made it our business to get an away goal, it's not a good situation tonight. Anyway we'll see.

He had way to much time and space in the first leg and dominated proceedings. Either Sanchez or Lingard will presumably be tasked with sticking close to him tonight.

I don't know why people have an issue with Fellaini when he's been more consistent and less frustrating than Pogba this season. I don't expect loads of creativity from him, but he has a great first touch and has a good presence in the midfield, especially along side Matic. By that alone, it gives us a real presence in the midfield. Combine that with having Bailly in the back four, then we should have even better balance. I feel confident with this lineup.

Looks like Banega prepared well to take care of McTominay this time around and Jose surprised him by putting Mickey Mouse.
Now that's a different problem for him to handle

That Scholes didn’t fancy either of them when Fergie asked the squad who should start against Liverpool?

    Just got in from work.

So what have I missed? Jose’s lost the plot? Shite selection? He hasn’t got a clue playing Fellaini? ;)

That's why Lingard is there on the right. I don't think Mata did a good job helping Valencia so Jose has opted for Lingard this time.

Might be right, just if things dont go our way from the start, maybe mentally how game passes we might switch into holding on 0:0 then risking into scoring and giving them chance for 1:1 or something crazy like that.

Not so different really. They have similar limitations. Fellaini maybe slightly more aggressive + elbows :p
