There shouldn't be a comma after 'mistake' in your penultimate sentence.

I'd add than/then, a typical mistake for a native. Probably some just don't care as it's their first language and sometimes write words the way they hear them, or not stress the small differences. Non-natives, who consider themselves as good speakers of English, tend to be very careful with the small things as they've always been corrected in schools. The worrying thing is we, outside England, teach our students to be perfectly articulated without actually opening them up. That's why sometimes an open person with a so-so grasp of English will communicate much better than a cultured 'speaker' who is too busy thinking what tense to use etc.

I think it will be a close match with a win either way or a draw. It would be huge for our confidence if we won. We lose and it's business as usual. My only worry is whether we can outscore spurs. Jones and Lindelof are bound to let in some goals.

OGS could potentially lose this game but I could possibly see things that would make me think he would be an ideal full-time candidate.

I don't think this game should be hyped as the one that determines whether OGS is a good manager. He could lose to Spurs, learn off it then nail the tactics spot on to beat Liverpool and City later on for all we know.

Yes I do. I am talking about what is best suited to how we want to play. Smalling spreads his nervousness throughout the defence. He never makes himself an option for a pass instead he is a coward, hiding from the ball. If we start with Smalling and try to play on the ground football it is like playing with 10men. Its that simple. That's a fact. Smalling is worse on the ball than defenders that play for relegation fodder and that is unacceptable.

If I'm not wrong, Garner is also a CB.
    CM/CDM/CB

Other option, Shaw, McT and Matic as emergency CBs, not much choices Ole have.

If we throw Dalot into the back 4 eg. Jones injured, these doesn't look bad.

    Dalot -- Lindelof -- Shaw -- Young

That would be an effective cool opening or closing speech to his teamtalk.
    • incite laughter/smiles/happiness -- positive feelings of players.
    • ease pressure/tense players may felt.
    • instill confidence.
    • nice reminding way that we're United (I'm sure some our players know of that Ferguson reference).
    • not to over-respect Spurs, and thus not to be over-cautious/safe.
    • encourage the player to have that 'big' mentality a United player should have.

The start is vital. we can win if we keep it tight and don't concede silly early goal. Spurs will just sit back and we'll be left vulnerable to sucker punch. Keep it tight at the beginning of game. The longer it stays 0-0 the better , I expect us to be considerably fresher in the latter stages.

I'm convinced Spurs will come out of the traps. They'll be silly to sit back knowing our defensive frailty's.
They'll be wise to focus their pressing particularly on Matic. Stop Matic from receiving the ball in deep areas and dictate our game and you've won the majority of the tactical tie against us.
We found it difficult when Newcastle pressed Matic and they're not exactly good.
A rude awakening for some United fans tomorrow methinks.

Heard Son won't play this! From fantasy P.L page!
A win here and we reduce a gap again to 6pts between us and Chelsea, with them going to Arsenal next so it will be wide open challenge for 4th spot. Very massive game for us, can't see us losing to Spurs both home and away.

Its very rare that Tottenham don’t score any goals. I think it has only happened once in over a year.

Not going to be able to catch this one, it's on at 3:30 in the morning on a Monday. Us Aussies gotta work. That being said, i'm cautiously optimistic. Being realistic, I don't think we will win though. They can match us offensively and their defence is far better than ours.

Be good to see Luke Shaw adopt a more consistent, effective offensive (attacking) approach to his play. We miss that at OT, have a wonderful history of high quality left backs, all who can make and occasionally, score a goal. Shaw has this in his game.

He's a great option to come on for Jesse. Everyone has given up all hope on him in here, not point mentioning him.

Martial must play because he's the only LW. If Rom starts it better be on the right instead of Jesse. But we have to stick with the first choice front three
