Always thought he was overrated. Never really had a stand out season like Nani did who was also widely criticised for first 2-3 years. That said a good open interview. (First time I've actually heard him speak English). Most interesting bit for...

Mikhityaran is surely Ozil's replacement? Aubameyang is better than Lacazette, no way is he coming to play wide right. Need much better in defence. Mustafi is average and Nacho and Koscielny are in their 30s now and frequently injured. Cech is...

  3. FootballHQ replied to the thread Revising Owen to Man United Transfer.

He scored regularly in the cups (hat trick v Wolfsburg) but never thought Man. City aside he was ever that much threat in the league when he played. Compare the impact Javier Hernandez as a squad striker to Owen. Limitations of his link up play...

  4. FootballHQ replied to the thread Arsenal 2017/2018.

It's obvious now their league season is a write off. They are not good enough to finish in the top 4 by a long way. To throw this into the mix though...they are 6th in the league and still in the league cup and europa league. Remind you of...

Can't see the match continuing tonight if that's the case. Other two stands are full. Shame as game was nicely poised. Porto missed some sitters last ten minutes of the half.

Been watching Estoril-Porto. Estoril leading 1-0 at half time. Turned back just now for second half and pitch is flooded with fans, anyone got a clue what's going on? I'm guessing a bomb threat as it seems they've evacuated the stand behind the...

All over now, Messi seals it with a typical beautiful free kick. The curse is over.

Interesting debut. Showed good awareness and was confidently involved in Dortmund's attacking moves and also tracked back well in the second half when Wolfsburg were having good spells. In the box he reminded me of Sterling before this major...

Surprised Dembele didn't start, he looked sharp in the midweek cup tie.

I know a lot of Dortmund fans don't rate Schurrle but surely with his experience he should be starting upfront given their issues there? Can hold it up with his back to goal and link play and chips in with goals.

Yes he's woeful. That's the problem with being Soviet players. They look good in their own leagues but struggle to settle in different and better competitions. Konoplaynka was similar at Schalke and Sevilla.

Dortmund team far too young today. 1 shot on target so far.
