Original reversal of 'no case to answer'... http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2012/may/09/met-officer-charged-assault-allegations
Worrying stuff. It seems these days the CPS and IPCC seem to want to justify themselves to sections of the general public by scraping the barrel when it comes to going after the cops.
More... Guardian had earlier taken gangsta boy dressed him in geek clothes (v unlike his rapparel on facebook) and concocted a cringing 'why they pick on po' me' interview. BBC gave massive coverage to allegations including outside court TV - no mention of acquittal.
Post me a link and shall have a read. I did see a Met officer had been found guilty of common assault after punching someone who spat in his face, with the 'chunks of saliva going into his eyes and mouth'.
You're a copper aren't you.
My mate's son PC Joseph Harrington is being abused by the law, media and disciplinary process driven by the out-of-control IPCC.
Only just seen this. What's it about?
Forgot I'd posted that: Joe is a PC in Newham - he arrested some 17 -year-old scrote with 16 previous and had to defend himself against a ludicrous ABH charge. Despite him being acquitted in 20 mins by a jury the IPCC were straight in with a 'he should be disciplined by Met'.
