I'd love to watch all the upcoming fixtures this week, Lyon/Barcelona, Liverpool/Munich, Schalke/City, Atl/Juve. How much would it hurt viewership if some of those fixtures started earlier? Could it even help viewership because at the end of the...

The way Son went away and celebrated by himself tells me that he doesn't from a lack of self confidence, arrogance even. Asian players have been accused of being too humble for they own good.

I'm yet to come across a CL knock out stage ref who doesn't look like a prick when they are brandishing their cards.

Here's an article I remember seeing that probably explains what's happened to him. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/29/alexis-sanchez-could-returning-arsenal-exhausted-man-world-football/ And some further insight...

That's seems like a solid idea. Alexis is done for my money, much like Wayne those last 2-3 seasons.

  7. Yorkeontop replied to the thread Lingard and Martial injured - attacking options?.

The lack of fitness from José's regime has caught up with us I think considering our improved intensity but it's probably just the seasonal fitness travails we seem to suffer more than most and had LVG looking for solutions.

Him getting silly money in China actually proves his worth. And just because he ended up there doesn't mean he had no interest elsewhere, look at some of the other guys who've ended up in China recently.

I don't think it was a mistake per say but the big guy is a plan B all by himself and that's a very useful tool to have sometimes. He is worth more than that to a lot of clubs though hence the transfer.

  11. Yorkeontop replied to the thread [Poll] Next permanent United manager.

The questions I have for the two main candidates is whether Ole has the intellectual footballing chops to upgrade us (like Pochettino has with Spurs)? And does Pochettino have the mentality to exist at the apex of the game (Ole seems comfortable...

PSGs left back had that darting presence we are missing at fullback. Rafael Da Silva had it.

  13. Yorkeontop replied to the thread Post match vs Paris St Germain.

PSG are just a tighter unit than us, fair result. That wasn't some heartbreaking CL loss for me. Ole can gleam a lot from this. And I can't help feel we are going to see more injuries until the end of the season as we are playing at a higher...

Doesn't really matter as such as he's past his peak but I swear he'd be more effective closer to goal. He's excellent technically and is strong enough to ride tackles. We have to replace him but he's worth keeping around.
