The Six Nations is back this Saturday, with Wales and Scotland kicking off proceedings in Cardiff. Also on Saturday, Ireland travel to France, while Italy host England on Sunday.

    Predictions-wise, I'm going for:

    Wales (LBP) v Scotland
    France (LBP) v Ireland
    Italy v England (TBP)

    Ireland (TBP) v Italy
    England v Wales
    Scotland v France

    France (TBP) v Italy
    Ireland v Wales
    Scotland (LBP) v England

    Ireland v Scotland (LBP)
    France (LBP) v England
    Wales
    (TBP) v Italy

    Italy v Scotland (TBP)
    England
    v Ireland (LBP)
    Wales v France

    Predicted Final Table
    England - 26 (21 + 5-point bonus for the GS)
    Ireland - 18
    Scotland - 15
    Wales - 10
    France - 7
    Italy - 0

All going to plan, St. Patrick's Day should mark a Grand decider in Twickenham. Unfortunately, while I think Ireland will go very close, England will probably edge it, considering their fantastic record at Twickenham.

Fancy Ireland to win it. England have the best squad on paper but I think they will lose in Scotland and then bottle it in the decider. Pity France are in such a mess, hopefully they can spring a surprise or two and not lose to Italy.

Oh look Ben Teo is magically fit to play when this rolls around so glad we’ve been paying his wages.

Incredible finish to the Ireland game on Saturday, but a poor game overall, can't see past England again this year.

Wales kicking for the corner in the first half only to kick for points in the last 10 mins when it's easier to get in position for a drop goal than it is to score a try :houllier:

I think it was about the bonus point. And the correct call.

Not sure how that wasn't a try for Wales in the first half - what am I missing?

I'm no fan of the Welsh but I thought they were very hard done by in the refereeing today.

The try should have been given.

At the breakdown, England were allowed flop off their feet every time while Wales were penalised several times.

Wales destroyed at least 3 scrums without being awarded a single penalty or turnover.

Not giving a yellow card for that cynical slap out of the scrum half hands for the final penalty. That was arguably a try stopping infringement.

2 of the Welsh knock ons at the breakdown were in fact hands on the floor by English players.

There were more that I've forgotten but it was a desperate performance from Garces. I'd be fuming if I were Welsh.

I don’t think they were that hard done by on that disallowed try, seeing as both players were putting downward pressure on the ball I don’t think he could have had full control of the ball.

That was a cowardly call from the TMO. It’s one thing to question if it was grounded properly but he tried to claim that Watson made contact with the ball first.

And after all that I still think Wales and their muddled thinking was the critical difference. Kick the 3 instead of going for the corner and turning it over in the first half and then you're kicking the ball in the corner and working off the set-piece for a converted try at the end.

Totally agree. That was a terrible decision and cost Wales the match.

@diarm we were penalised far more than Wales at the breakdown.. Not that there was any consistency at all
