This list may not be accurate/ complete, but it does make me wonder why we don't have one in the list. City have 2, Chelsea 1, Liverpool 1, Leeds 1 otherwise they are all abroad.

Is this too early to judge, do we just have better security over the awareness of such players, or are we losing out in the race for young talent? Or is the Guardian just uninformed?

These lists tend to always be garbage.

Would be interesting to keep a eye on this list and check it, say 5 years from now.

The Liverpool one is Liverpool in Uruguay.

Only four players in England. Makes you wonder.

Angel Gomes not being there is a joke. He’s quite clearly better and more talented than the players on that list that I’m familiar with

Yeah. Check out some of the names on the older ones.

I think they plan to run it that way. If you check out the Guardian website they were doing "a look back at" sections for previous years lists.

Yup, some established names but the success rate is very low.

These lists are created for one purpose; generate clicks from people disagreeing.

Lists like that don't mean much. Look at the 2015 one - no Mbappe and two years later he's nominated for Ballon d'Or.

These lists are notoriously crap - basically a group of young players that are whipped up to provide content on a web site. I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of these players are never heard from in the future.

We shouldn't be concerned whether or not we have players on the list since football at the highest levels has been moving away from developing youth players for the better part of a decade now. Its all about buying players from other clubs these days.

I doubt how many of those in the list we will even hear about in the future.

Often felt that the Guardian is a bit anti-United. Paul Wilson, their main football writer, has always had a bit of a downer on us.

It's clear that Gomes is a mega-talent and we've just signed Puigmal, one of the best talents in Catalonia/Spain.

So out of 30 nominees for Balon d'Or we had one player who happened to be a GK. And now we have no players on this young talents list.
    This doesn't bode well!

It's a nonsensical list many of which have been fed to the guardian by agents trying to generate a buzz around their players

Its clearly just made as mult-national as possible. Angel and Lee O'Connor should easily be in a proper list.

Hm....I have seen Erlend Braut Haaland play quite a few times (he is the son of Alf Inge Haaland) - and if you gave me a choice between him and Angel Gomes.....

    Hahahahahahahahahaha

    What a joke!
