We may have heard it all before but this time it's for real. . . apparently. A European League, consisting of 16 teams, intend to breakaway from UEFA/Champions League and possibly even their own national associations to play in a European Super League. Indeed a letter on intent has been drawn up by such clubs with Bayern Munich apparently leading the way by legally checking how they can leave the Bundesliga and the Champions League Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date The man at Bayern responsible for this is the head of their legal department, Michael Gerlinger. Teams, it seems, will be invited to play with Bayern, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC, Manchester City, Liverpool FC among the clubs mentioned. All quite interesting especially considering Munich have applied to host the 2020-21 Champions League Final. I think this is probably an inevitability. Thoughts?
