I bet a few will miss the flight back
Because we're in the rare situation where we can watch us play a competitive match whilst not getting too nervous over the result.
Of course I want us to win, and do the best we can in this competition but put it this way, I won't react to us going out of the EL in the way I would us getting knocked out the CL, which is gutted.
Proper footy night for me tonight, got asked to play "5 a side" which is the first Football I will have played in over a year so took the evening off work and thought I'd be missing some of the match... then find out it's on at 6!
I hope we do ourselves proud and show this competition up for it's pure averageness!
Ah man I wish I could have got the time off work!!! Best away
Not being funny, and sorry if this has been mentioned before - but according to the BBC, we've left Berbatov at home to rest him? WHY?
A mistake by them, surely ... anyone know if he's carrying a knock?
Links to streams via my home page, streams should start to appear at 5pm GMT.
we are so used to champions league football, I am gutted we been forced to play in this 2nd-rate europa league.
I think the fact that it's in Amsterdam might have had something to do with that.
And we will be back in the CL next season, we can't have it all our own way every single season.
Do you ever have anything positive to say?
I know, im just jealous! Went to Amsterdam last month though
Regardless of how people view the competition , the fixture and the venue City should make for a good trip for all concerned and some decent viewing over two legs. That Christian Eriksen seems like a fair player who could cause us problems.
If only we'd held on to Bebe, we'd have been in the CL last 16 instead.....
"Forced to play"? Oh do feck off. That's the kind of sense of entitlement that gives us a bad reputation.
What channels will this be on?
I heard it was Thursday night on Channel 5. Not sure where.
Dolcesport 1 if you are Romanian
TLN if you are Canadian
otherwise search on the net
or Channel 5 *** for those home from work late
Watch as if live...
TVCatchup - Never Miss A Show Again
Ive always said Thursdays are a great night for Football and its nice to be on Channel 5, the home of football
Channel 5 plus 1 for those home from work late
its on 3e if you are in Ireland
Christ, makes Channel 5 look classy.
When in Rome(Or at least closer).
I like this kick-off timing. It will be at 2am here instead of the Champion League's 2.45am/3.45am kick-offs.
I actually look forward to this, nice KO time as well! We are not entitled to be in the knock out stages of the Champions League every single season without earning it and I think we (the fans as well) should treat this competition with respect.
Where's this from?
Thursday nights... in Amsterdam!
I must admit when we qualified for the Europa league I was pretty dissapointed but now it just feels we're under no pressure to win it so tonight should be intersting.
5.15pm on Ch5
Whats so funny?
