7 times today against a thug like Huddersfield.

Pep would be having a seizure!

Let's see if any pundit brings it up. I bet not, if he played for another club they'd be all over pressuring refs to give more favourable treatment.

He was absolutely battered by Yeovil and Spurs too.

Does anyone recall if any of the fouls against him resulted in a yellow card?

Excellent decision by the FA to bring in a highly inexperienced referee to this. The ref tried to prove some kind of point of being a hard man who lets everything go. Cnut.

It was pretty obvious they were targeting him and he got frustrated and immediately got a yellow for one challenge. Haven't really taken to Huddersfield, annoying as feck to play against

This was really pissing me off today. As soon as he got the ball you could see the tacklings purely aimed at the player flying in from any direction possible.

Pep did have a seizure, he named Sanchez on his bench for today's game. Safe to say he hasn't taken the snub well.

All 3 games he's played the opposition have basically been targeting him to take him out mostly through kicking him. Pretty disgraceful so far.

He's really class. Seeing him live, he's quality. Would like to see him not dropping as deep. Looking forward to seeing him in the same team as Pogba

The poor guy has been kicked all over the pitch since he arrived. Things aren't going to change methinks. The likes of Pogba, Lukaku and Lingard need to really step it up because they can benefit from the space Alexis will create by drawing defenders in. We can hurt teams just by taking advantage of Alexis's clever movement.

We really needed a proper enforcer in today's game. Someone to protect Alexis by imposing himself and putting his physical presence out there.

Only seven free kicks were awarded today for fouls against him. The total should have been much higher, as well as a penalty in the first half which wasn't given. Idiotic/ incompetent/ corrupt (delete as you deem appropriate) Attwell then added insult to injury for booking him for the one foul he committed all match, after being targeted throughout the match by the Huddersfield thugs.

Yeovil and Alli were at it too. Guy is a marked man it would seem.

Jealousy is a terrible thing. He's got class and cash that these feckers couldn't dream of.

Yeah, that sub guy got a booking. Same guy who conceded the penalty.

Lot of fouls is a sign of greatness btw, can help us a lot to get dangerous set pieces. He also rarely lose the ball.

I’ve just posted in the newbie forum about protection for our players. It’s getting to be beyond a joke.
Alexis must’ve been wondering what on earth was happening.
He will have got similar treatment at Arsenal, but not to this extent and opposing players would be spoken to at least!
