Most players as they get older, would expect to receive a lower wage...it’s not like they automatically go up and up until the day they retire.

So I think it would be possible for the club to let him leave for free without subsidising a portion of his wage.

One can hope :wenger: (although it’s not our money)

No one can foresee his decline at age 29, it is just unfortunate. It was a great buy at the time as Sanchez has been single handily carried us for couple years, and you can get him on the cheap in terms of transfer fee due to the length of his contract. I would not blame Woodward or Mourinho for it. Pep and City didn't "dodge" the bullet on this, as they can't possibly foreseen his decline and they want to sign him as well. Sanchez always take good care of his body, not a party animal, and train hard, so he is not like a typical Brazilian go down hill after 28. I remember it was supposed to be a win win situation for both Man Utd and Arsenal back then, you guys get a fighter that is tired of Arsenal's lack of competitiveness in the league, and hope Sanchez can have a RVP effect, and we got a player that didn't fit Mou's tactic and probably will play well for us. Well, it just turned out to be a lose-lose situation.

Can't they both chip in for him and pay half his wages each.
He could play or inter until Christmas and Juve for the title run in.

He scored one league goal all season. It would some feat if we could move him on.

If it's true we shouldn't ask for a fee. Honestly, if we loan him and he doesn't improve they'll send him back and then we'll be stuck 100% with his wages as clubs will think he's really done for good.

Best get him off and I'm sure he can be convinced to take a pay cut if he badly wants to have playing time.

I remember when we got him, I was so happy.
I actually watched his intro vid (him on the piano) hundreds of times and it gave me goosebumps everytime.

So sad how this turned out.

I don’t get it with Torres.

His goal return wasn’t as good as at Liverpool, but it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as people make out.

Also he won the CL. That paid it off alone

That one goal against Barcelona sure means he had more of a positive impact for Chelsea than Sanchez has for United?

They play for inter while you keep paying their wages?

No way. Nevermind the fact you'd be selling both at a significant loss, too

I honestly think he'd do well if he can get this sort of move, we are such a poor barometer for where players are just now, and Sanchez especially has been too bad to be true, so it's probably not.

He could be the one left laughing when he is playing for a top team, winning the league, and having a genuine chance in the CL if this goes thorough, even more so if we're left paying half his wages!

20 league goals in 110 league appearances

If there's any chance he can be gotten rid of, it would be one of the best moves United has done in a long time. Of course it'd just be making up for the mistake of signing him, but I don't think the club can be blamed for taking a shot on Alexis at the time they did. It just massively backfired and to be able to get out of that situation would be a great step in the right direction.

They're dogs, they don't care how much he gets paid, just as long as there are pats, snacks, and a comfortable bed.

Highly doubt he'll go to Juventus. They have Ronaldo Mandzukic Kean and Dybala, so it's hard to believe they would be interested.

Inter seems like the most likely one.

What’s to suggest this agent isn’t weighing up a move for one of his other clients? I’m assuming he has others, of course!
Would be brilliant to offload Sanchez. Even under Jose, at the point Sanchez arrived, I thought we were playing quite well - really well at times and on a good run if I remember correctly. He had been a curse it seems.

No loans. As I feel the Italian clubs will probably return him after six months or a year.

Getting rid of Sanchez would be better for the club than any individual signing could be.

Surely if we let him go free then his huge wages shouldn't be a problem for the new club?

He's come to symbolise a lot of the wider issues at the club, which is slightly unfair on him I suppose. Will br glad when he's gone.

Even worse than that, he only played 90min once this season. In the opening league game of the season.

He’s totally finished and I’d be amazed if anyone wanted him.

And pay a fortune in excess weight for all the bulk Lukaku has piled on.
