Batting opens with G.Boycott/M.Hayden(With Superior technique of G.Boycott and flamboyant batting of M.Hayden) I got the best opening combo out of the two team and are in the best position to see through the new ball attack which means my one down batsmen is not exposed to new ball early in the game.

R.Dravid(The Wall) - Plays the specialist position No.3,arguably there is no better batsmen than R.Dravid to play in this position so perfectly.

Ian Chappell/A.Border/C.Lloyd -All three very good batsmen of both pace and spin bowling and their records speak for themselves. All three are good enough for long innings.

LMO-(Q D Kock /R.Hadlee /W.Akram) Arguably best LMO batting line in the draft, who can bat till No.9,never to forget Wasim got his double ton batting at No.9.

Bowling wins test matches, with superior bowling and combination of attack spearheaded by Wasim,Hadlee and Ambrose,3 premium strike bowler which much variety I got better chance to win this 3 match series.

Spin Duo-(Saqlain Mushtaq & N.Lyon) Tricky customers who can bowl with at most accuracy at any kind of Wicket.

Most of the batsmens(G.Boycott/I.Chappell/A.Border/C.Lloyd/R.Hadlee/W.Akram) in my team has lead there teams and knows the responsibilities which means they can produce the responsible innings and lead the team in different stages of the game as it requires.

C.Lloyd as Captain, No better man utilise his resources better that C.Lloyd and he's my captain who can steer this team to victory

    Basically.

An absolutely brilliant batting that boasts of a tremendous volume of runs and some of the greatest test batsmen ever. Between Tendulkar, Kallis, Cook and Waugh they've scored a WHOPPING 50,000 RUNS. feck me lads, how do you stop that? I have FOUR batsmen who belong to the 10K club, out of the 12 total in the history of the game. Accompanying them there is Zaheer Abbas and Ian Redpath, who provide the style and substance, respectively.

With the ball, I have three absolutely fearsome bowlers in Garner, Lillee and Steyn. Garner and Lillee will open the bowling with absolutely hostile spells. Garner with unplayable bounce and Lillee's sheer pace, aggression and accuracy will be impossible to contain in tandem. Steyn's destructive movement will cause all sorts of problems. The spin is the genius of Prasanna, Kallis and Waugh complete the attack with the former having almost 300 wickets to his name, making this a well rounded attack who wouldn't give the opposition any breathing space.

All this led by one of the greatest captains ever and one of the greatest keepers ever behind the stumps - all just fits in perfectly.

I can’t look past that batting line up by @Moby Only Hayden is the one batsman from the opposition team that gets into his lineup

@Mani edges the bowling line up but just by a bit. His main attack is better but Moby does have Kallis and Waugh to contribute as well

Actually no. Easily at that. Cook has far surpassed him both in terms of performances and records.

G.Boycott has missed straight 30 matches at his peak due to various reasons,if that would have never happened he would be the first English to cross 10K runs in test cricket.
Forget all this Boycott has faced much much better attack in those days than cook had ever come across.

Nah if that's the comparison of eras that is going to decide things then there was no point including the modern era batsmen. Why were we picking the likes of Smith, Cook or even the likes of AB de Villiers for that matter? Cook has been a run machine over a vast period of time for England and is still in with a shot to break Tendulkar's records, with phenomenal stats that overshadow his own peers who play in this same conditions.

And by your logic, Steyn is far and away the greatest bowler of all time given he has absolutely incredible average and strike rate while playing in a batsman dominated era, on batsman friendly pitches and batsmen friendly rules being better than the 70s bowlers who could bowl bouncers and had bowling pitches available for them?

The comparison across eras renders having a multi-era draft a bit pointless. And we are not talking about a random bloke who's setting good numbers, it's one of the greatest players England has produced at the top who has been rated higher than Boycott since a while now.
The opening partnership between Strauss and Cook has been the third highest scoring partnership ever.

Garner, Lillee and Steyn aren't too bad either. Moby also has that monster batting lineup.

Let’s forget about the different era’s and I’m never going there but all want to say is Player like G.Boycott is getting discredit when compared to mordern players,he has been rated best opening test batsmen, technically sound enough to deal with any attack.
You said about Cook and Strauss, yes they are third best behind Greenidge/Haynes &Hayden/Langer,Boycott didn’t have that comfort at others end, best he could manage was with Edrich and they had averaged 50.00 in each innings when they managed played together.Coming to this draft he got M.Hayden(second best partnership with Langer) at otherend and to me both can see this new ball comfortably.
