They don't celebrate much at youth level.
Do you think he'll be going to Marveld this year? Hopefully he keeps on doing well.

How old is Gomes now? Do you know if he is declared for England? I remember reading on another site that he was born and raised in Manchester.

Think he's a nailed on starter bar injury.

13 years old (U14s).He was called up for England U15s training camp earlier this season so clearly has no problem representing England.

Is he more likely to declare for England or for Portugal?

We never know at this stage but as I've said above,he won't face any issue if he want to represent England.

I first heard his name mentioned at the end of last year and it's certainly very exciting to have such prodigious young talent coming through the youth system. Let's hope all goes well for him over the next few years.

It's a good piece written by a classy bloke but - generally speaking - there's something a bit iffy about raising a 13-year-old's profile. Still, we took him to a televised u17s tournament in Slovakia so in this instance I guess it's cool.

Well hes going to be playing at Marveld in a couple of weeks and likely to be in Englands Victory shield squad in a few months time so I just decided to write it before theres a raft of other similar articles and as you say the club played him in a televised tournament so dont seem to be trying to keep it quiet like they have with certain other players.

Angel Gomes, son of Luso-Angolan Gil Gomes, who was crowned world champion under-20 by Portugal in 1991, signed a contract with Manchester United.

The young have represented the youth of the red devils and now formalized contract with the English club, having the time been shared by the father through the social network Facebook.

Has signed a new contract with us.

Best position is LB I think although can play CB and CM.Captained that age group since very young age and played for both England U16s and Northern Ireland U16s.

Don't think so Lewis was with us since 7-8 and Jordan only moved here at 14-15.To confuse it even more we have a trialist (or already signed) in the same age group of Lewis that also called Lewis Thompson.

Thompson, Gomes and Makele all played for the U/16's today and weren't involved with the U/18's even though named on the team sheet.

Caught some of the game against Burnley last night, Gomes looks like a great player, superb touch and vision.

Cool. Quick googling seems to indicate Ademi's wanted by City as well. This is a perfect chance for us to prove that all the fancy talk about upping our youth recruitment game wasn't just a load of testicles.

Any idea how many trialists played? I heard a couple young Belgian lads were involved
