Did Fab take pee on pitch?
    By DAVID BARNES

FABIEN BARTHEZ appears to have been caught taking a pee DURING a European tie, it leaked out last night.

The ex-Manchester United keeper, 32, apparently just could not hold on playing for Marseille in a UEFA Cup tie against Inter Milan earlier this month.

Stories abound that Barthez casually watered the pitch — with the ball in play and 60,000 people in Marseille’s Velodrome stadium.

One spectator said: “I don’t think anyone noticed at the time because we were all watching Marseille attacking at the other end.”

In a bizarre twist, the unprecedented story emerged last Thursday night during a French radio show hosted by Arsenal star Robert Pires — a former Marseille player.

A female phone-in caller asked Pires if he had heard the rumour about Barthez relieving himself during the Inter Milan game.

Pires, laughing, said: “A lot of people have spoken to me about it but I haven’t seen the picture.

"I must say it has never happened to me. I have a pee before the game!”

He has done it in the goal box it seems. What happens in a corner some guy slips and falls on it

As if 60 000 people and only 1 person saw it... :houllier:

Has anyone ever heard the story about this player who scored and as soon as he scored he ran to the goal post pulled down his pants and released a sloppy one...i have no proof just heard the story, he then lifted his pants back up and ran to celebrate.

Don't be surprised.... my teammates and I do it all the time during football matches. It's more unnoticeable when you aren't with the ball and even better when its raining. :D
