It is hard to take. They may have gotten there in a way we don't like. But they have.

    Suck it up.

They are. They have been for most of the season. They deserved to win that. We deserved nothing from it.

    C'est la vie. Football.

When you have owners and a manager who activley go after the best talent then eventually you will win. The challenge is there now to see I hope Fergie has the fight for it in the remaining few years.

They've got a better midfield than our bemusing lineup tonight.

Considering our 3 best players didn't start tonight (Vidic, Valencia and apparently Rooney, not to mention Young, Welbeck, Evans and Fletcher) we did okay.

It's how we respond next year. Time to refresh the midfield and get a player like silva.

Got to agree, we were flat going forward for the entire game to be honest and we're still over reliant on Scholes. Says it all really.

I just feel if we started with Valencia and young we might have got something. To me it's just unfathomable that fergie would not start with our star player this season, Valencia. I'm sorry but fergie got it wrong today

The only thing City have lacked at times this season is the spirit that have kept us in the race, apart from that they are a better side. We've been grinding out results too many times and it was going to cost us eventually. Go a goal behind and we have no answer.

    Cant disagree.
    We'll come back stronger.. hopefully.
Chelsea have done this before. We ran them closer than we did with Chelsea.

They have a better squad than that. I've accepted that for the whole season but I thought our experience would drag us through and to blow this lead is just shocking.

They are the better team and have been all season. Nerves got the better of them and then when they chucked Balotelli out they started playing as a team again.

Every single neutral has been saying this all season.

There first XI is much better than ours. We have the Fergie factor that keeps us in it.

    Bring back Ronnie.

(if only we could afford him)

They've proved it this season that yes they're better in every single aspect of the game. It's still a shame that a few weeks ago, the gap was 8 points.

The longer we rely on Scholes & Giggs as well as Park, the further we are going to fall further behind.

I don't think the team selection helped us, not gonna blame Fergie cause he was clearly playing for a draw and hoping we got something on the break but I just wish we'd gone out there and had a go at them from the start.

They have much mentally stronger individuals.

The current United team lacks confidence and fighting spirit big time.

They have the edge at the moment, certainly.

But we responded well when Chelsea were splashing out hundreds of millions, I'm sure we'll do so again.

This has the makings of a fine side, we just need one or two more players (in midfield particularly).

They've taken 6 points from us, and are still only level with us. Over the course of the season we've done better than they have against every other team in the league than they have. The fact that we're level on points with them even after giving them 6 points, shows this.

Yes they spanked us earlier on in the season, but they got a win tonight with a single goal after a bit of sloppy defending, whoop de fecking do. This doesn't mean they're the better team. When Chelsea won the league we didn't say the times had changed. One title doesn't change much. They will just have had the better season that's all. If they were that much the better team than us, they wouldn't be level on points with us. Especially after stunting us for 6 of them.

They are better, but we've somehow got 8 points clear and bottled it, that is what is sickening.

Even though we're are level on points they have been better than us. Not sure how they dropped points like that. If Kompany really is that big of a difference in the team then Vidic would have won us that title. Rare that we lose so many points because of center halves. Blackburn was one game, tonight was one as well. Harsh I know but they only scored the one goal and it was because Smalling failed.

Only took them £300m to get there. Maybe we'll fecking buy the midfield we've needed for years instead of depending on Scholes. We played like shit. We bottled it against Wigan and Everton. Had we not been such feck-ups the past two weeks, this wouldn't have mattered.

Shows we should of went at the from the start. Game changed when we brought Welbeck on for Park. 5 minutes later they bring on De Jong to lock the game down. To little to late.
