I'd have Valencia over Robben every time. Younger, faster, and less injury prone.

I think we as a collection of supporters under-estimated him leading up to this one, it was almost poetic that he scored the winner in the fashion he did.

I didn't. I still think he is overrated. but he is ace at his one trick.I'm still pissed off that we fall victim to it, despite knowing it so well.

Neither he or Ribery were that good, our wingers were beating men more regularly, great goal however

He looked like a gay when celebrating his goal, but I would too if I scored a goal that good and important.

Fantastic player when fully fit and amongst the worlds best players.

Anybody not feeling any fear when he got the ball would be lying.

He always looked likely to do something last night.

No use saying Evra had him tied up for most of the game as he's the type and quality of player that only needs seconds to do the damage as he showed at Chelsea for two seasons

No accident that Utd moved mountains to get hold of him but were gutted when they did'nt

Also worth mentioning that his goal was for me, goal of the season so far, in such a huge huge game to show such incredible technique on a ball coming at him and dropping direct from a corner. You won't see that many times

    ....fking awesome skill

I don't think it's even on his mind when celebrating such a difficult and great goal.

If we had done the simple thing of putting a man on the post it would have been cleared.

Saying that, great technique and good goal. Annoying person to get the goal to knock us out, the drama queen.

Which one trick is that? The first-time volley from the corner? The 35-yarder against Fiorentina?

was Bayerns best player and the sole reason they went through, was a danger all night.
funnily enough in the 10 mins leading up to the goal we'd seemed to have got to grips with him and weren't letting him cut inside as much, i was feeling much more comfortable, then he volleyed it in direct from the corner and effectively ended the game

i hate him but he's excellent

    He's a match winner...

Sadly, apart from Rooney we don't really have too many of those at the moment.

(Though Nani certainly has the potential to become one)

Surely one of the signings of the season by Munich?

Inter and Munich got brilliant deals getting Sneidjer and Robben on the cheap.

    One thing ive just noticed:

I know carrick had a very poor game but in that clip he is the first to notice robben and try and get a block in, thats the side of his game that is so useful to us even if the passing can be off sometimes.

We moved mountains to get Robben? You mean, moved them in the wrong way?

We had him. We then tried to skim a few million off the transfer fee when we faxed it through and get him for £5 million. Hardly moving mountains to sign someone is it?

Not a chance. What he has is vastly talented. But he is not a top player. I know no top player who has ever had his levels of selfishness.

Laughable. He isn't a top player because of what a selfish pussy he is. Which has feck all to do with injuries.

Whatever. I've followed Robben since before most on here knew him. I watched him at the Euro's in 2004 and from then on I was done with him. There's nothing I hate like player as selfish as he is. With a penchant for cheating and acting like a girl at the slightest foul. Even yesterday all his usual characteristics where on display. & as always all was forgotten after he cut in and took one of his famous shots to take Bayern through. Because of that goal alone he is a 'great player''.

I'd pick Ribery and our two wingers who started over him any day of the week. Malouda too!
