I did a search on the caf for a "Wenger sack watch" thread and there isn't any.

Not top 4, No Carling cup and No FA Cup and there are a lot of good team in the europa league.

Is the situation sustainable for him ?

Do we think that he's going to resign ? or that he's going to be sacked ? When ? Surely it's his last year.

They are 30 points of City.

I think he's gone, at most at the end of the season. it can't continue like that.

The fact that there's a lot of fans in the stadium today, even if it's because the weather, will push the media to create a narrative where they are snubbing the home matches and it could create a movement.

There wasn't a thread for a very good reason. They'll carry him out in a box before they sack him.

I genuinely do think he needs to go this summer. Last season was poor insofar as they missed their usual target; they've now dangerously fallen behind the rest of the big five and are showing no promise or signs of improvement.

He won’t be sacked, he’ll have to walk himself - and I don’t think he’ll do that, not on the salary he’s meant to be on anyway.

I actually hope they have avoided as a stand against the manager (I doubt it though).

Seeing fans moan and moan on Arsenal Fan TV then they turn up for the next game just seems laughable to me, vote with your feet. The money men only care about money.

He will never be officially sacked. He will leave on his own accord. The board will give him the right to say it was his choice to leave even if it wasn't fully.

Wenger isn't going to be sacked. Stan Kroenke will let them rot in mid table, he doesn't care about the businesses he owns so long as they are profitable.

Have you heard the boos at half time and during the game? i think that it's more than the weather as people here are saying.

I think this may be the final straw. But who do Arsenal go for? There is a dearth of quality managers available; anyone would be a risk.

But will they stay profitable without any european competition ? and with the need to spend like they did this year ?

They won't be profitable soon if they consistently don't make the CL and if fans begin to not turn up.

Genuinely should walk now. I detest Arsenal but fecking hell it's becoming embarrassing to watch now. Were we even that poor under Moyes?

I remember when some Arsenal fans used to say Wenger was better than Sir Alex as a manager because he's going to leave Arsenal in a stronger position.

Their current points trajectory is fairly similar to the one we achieved in our season under Moyes. I'd say they're about that level now...too many decent players not to win semi-regularly, but comfortably behind the other big sides, getting walked over by better sides in big games, and lacking any general direction, leadership or cohesiveness.

He's not getting the sack any time soon. This is Arsenal.

Can see him even remaining for the next season.

I don't think you understand, Arsenal don't 'need' to spend because Kroenke doesnt care about being a good team. Arsenal have the largest cash reserves in european football, they just don't spend much of it.

FYI, premiere league clubs are very profitable due to the TV deal, mid table clubs make as much profit as top teams in other leagues.

Yes. Lost to L'pool at OT before kicked off just like Arsenal now. Unlike Arsenal who is well known spineless for sometimes now, we just walked the elague the previous season, so we're much worse.

Problem is, if they were going to sack him it should have been about 2-3 years ago when they began to stagnate. Why now? It's worse, sure, but if they sack him now, they will get slated for not sacking him much sooner. It's lose, lose really.

Nope. The best hope for fed up Arse fans is a dignified exit in the summer.

Surely this is as bad as it's got...10 points off 4th. Time for him to go - he's got no fight left in him.

Can’t see them sacking him. He’ll be asked to resign to at least save some sort of face I would think. The end is surely coming for him, should probably have left last year.

I wonder how he handles half-time situations like this. Does anyone actually believe he's in the dressing-room right now giving everyone the bollocking they deserve? No chance.

The answer is there if you ask former players. Basically, he lets the players talk it out themselves, then gives a small speech at the end to encapsulate what he wants form them in the 2nd half.
