Nobody f*cks with Unai!
Zero goals for Arsenal, zero goals for his country, 4 in like 80 for Sampdoria.... by all means, he knows how to do it.
Yep that botched Alonso transfer hurts, he'd have made a huge difference.
Does it hurt as much as Suarez?
What about Griezmann/Cech/Lloris/Vertonghen/Carrick?
Those are only off the top of my head.
Most of his goals came last year with Sampdoria, tbh. I think he can score a couple more.
He wasn't signed to score goals. We have half a dozen other players who do that comfortably.
I do get what you're saying but needless to say, I don't think Real's culture or mentality counted for much when they got knocked out of the CL 6 seasons in a row in the round of 16. It was only when they had more of a plan, hired Mourinho, spent wisely, that they started making more headway.
Club culture is important but I feel absolutely dwarfed in importance by quality of players and more importantly, money. As someone else said, if a Saudi prince bought Tottenham and bankrolled ala Man City/ Chelsea, I'm sure the club mentality would change pretty quickly, along with the trophy cabinet.
Anyway, I won't write anything more as I feel I am diverting this thread.
Top4 at best.
Guess no one expects more. This and winning the Europa League would be good.
After a disastrous start, under a new manager and having lost their best player Sanchez, I am surprised they are 4th because I expected them to be mid-table by now. But now they look good enough and most likely to finish top 4.
Emery is underrated due to his spell at PSG and his lack of a distinct playing style. His one big weakness is that he doesn't have the charisma and personality to deal with players that undermine his authority. So he relies on the team hierarchy to support him. Arsenal doesn't seem to have a complicated dressing room so this doesn't seem to be an issue at the moment. He'll do very well considering that arsenal's squad isnt all that great. Not long ago even their current top players (lacazette, auba) weren't rated highly. His strength is his tactical flexibility. He is getting the best out of what he has and adapts to his players.
Exactly. That's the reason why he struggled at P.S.G. Not many can deal with such big egos.
Replace good with great
I'd bite your cock off for that.
Well yeah. I desperately want to win an european trophy.
Bastards have won ten in a row. Some of the goals.

That Arsenal firepower was waiting to be unleashed though. Aubameyang/Lacazette have been scoring 20+ goals year in year out, and Mkhitaryan/Iwobi/Welbeck/Ozil also chip in here and there. Their best bet is simply to attack all out and not absorb too much pressure because of their suspect defence.
How is Mkhi doing in this team ?
How football should be played really. It's a form of entertainment - bring in these attacking players and unleash them. Arsenal were pretty poor at the back and escaped a clear peno but I bet their fans are relishing every game at the moment, even if they lose there's going to be goals all over the shop
Hm too early to say probably. He is not exactly flying, he has had a few minutes of brilliance here and there but that's about it. So far I think he was better for us last season, but that goes for several if not most of our players (we've been getting the results anyway because our structure is better and our strikers score more goals). Özil for example hasn't really found his place entirely under Emery either, this game was maybe the first time he looked like himself. Bellerin quite different (great this game though) etc.
Either way, Mkhi right now I think benefits from having little to no competition on the right so he still gets some game time, while everyone is being tried out a bit. Another factor is that Laca is starting most games so Mkhi's old mate Auba isn't always starting or necessarily playing central. But our whole team is sort of being reprogrammed from years of Wengerball so I think everything is still undecided/under scrutiny.
TL: DR; too early to tell, but so far perhaps 2.5/5 rating or so.
Arsenal will be found out soon. They can't defend and when things are going bad the Emirates is like a library.
We cant defend either. But we're way less entertaining and havent won 10 games on the trot. Its fecking depressing.
The third goal was sick. Arsenal have won 10 on the trot, and 7 wins by 2 or more goals. By any standards, that's a brilliant run.
They have been lucky. We will finish above them. Quote me on this.
Winning ten games in a row and scoring some outstanding goals is not luck.
I didn't see the game tonight (though it reads like Leicester had plenty of chances to score goals) but Arsenal most certainly we lucky against West Ham, Everton and Watford (especially)
Like Carragher said sooner or later they'll be found out, their efficiency in front of goal is way higher than it should be and they're getting away with murder at the back
It always seems like Arsenal score those phenomenal one touch passing goals at least once a season, or at least it feels like they do. Never seen anything like that for us in quite a while.
Arsenal are flying. Confidence breeds confidence. Tricky games now but I'd put a shed load on Arsenal finishing above Utd this season.
This guy... There's always this guy. Don't change
And the irony is I think of Olly every time I read his username.
Great run, we've ridden our luck a bit over the last 8-9 games but the second half yesterday was about as complete a performance as you can hope to see. I'm still in awe of Mesut's performance (from the sheer brilliance he's capable of, plus the fact that he chooses to showcase it so intermittently).
Sets us up well for the fight for Top 4, I think. We're never challenging City/Chelsea/Pool with a defence that weak. Cup plus top 4 would be a brilliant season.
It's coming along nicely for them so far.
Not well. Can't see him adding anything to us. It's sad because i had high hopes for him when he cames.
I'll only be impressed if they repeat the same against a bigger team. Not that the Top 4 table determines who wins the title but the fact that they roll over so easily for them, gifting the opposition 3 points, does a lot of harm for their top 4 ambitions.
They had been defeating smaller teams consistently in the last 10 years (other than last season away from home) but still failed when under pressure.
The swap with him and Sanchez has just been a waste of everyone's time.
Literally didn't know he was playing yesterday. I'd rather have Sanchez. We just need to figure out how to use him.
Cannot see them coming close to the title but I think they will finish in the top 4.
The strikers seem to have a good understanding and they have goals in them.
Wenger had gone stale at Arsenal and it seems the new manager has breathed some life into them.
