    Arthur is a 21 year old Brazilian who is taking the Brazilian league by storm, rewarded with a call up to the Full Brazilian squad this month.

    Just turned 21 last month and people have labelled him as a ready made replacement for Iniesta at Barcelona. Has signed to a new agent and it is believed he is heading to Europe in the January Transfer window, with English & Spanish clubs courting

    Last day of Transfer Window seemingly an English club put in a bid - but word is, he is waiting on a Big club. No mention of the club who put bid in.

    Anyway I think he is the player we need to push ourselves on as a club

    You reckon he's a better prospect than Pereira?

    What is up with these Brazilian names these days? Oscar, Bernard, Fred and Arthur, ffs.

    Remember the days when they were called Rivelino, Garrincha, Jairzinho and Clodoaldo? Those were World Cup winning names. No wonder their national team can't win trophies any more.

    The Iniesta comparison is more so how he evades players but the close control isn't the same and he operates deeper than Iniesta. Part of new generation of less physical but more technical CMs Brazil are trying to develop.

    He’s one of the greatest prospects I’ve ever seen, admittedly I’ve not seen him play yet but he has it all.

    He's one of my favourite players to watch on Youtube so I really wanted to include him, but he hasn't won the World Cup so it didn't fit into the argument.

    None of them are that impressive, i bet people said the same about Lucas when he was voted player of the season in Brazil and flattered to deceive here. Best player since Ronaldinho sounds good, but it is only at Gremio. The gap between him and the rest is huge, even if this chap is the best of the lot

    Anderson was arguably the biggest talent around when we bought him. A lot of people considered him a guaranteed superstar in the making during his Gremio and Porto days.

    Gremio is in the final of Libertadores; i saw almost all his games this year; he's a top player.
    Has nothing to do with Lucas Leiva.
    He's very agile and skilful. Runs with the ball glued to his feet.
    But he needs european experience before going to a club like United imo.
    Would be a risk.

    Who we should be looking to sign is Guilherme Arana(20) LB from Corinthians. Apparently is going to Sevilla.

    Hahahahaha true! Back in the day, there was a midfielder called "Capitão" (yeah, "Captain" in portuguese) whose real name was OLEÚDE. He used to be tough as feck.

    Anyway, the brazillian second division have its share of... Strange names:

    * Douglas Tanque (Douglas Tank)

    * John Lennon Silva Santos

    * Jonathan Balotelli (wtf)

    * Leo Gago (translated as "Stutterer Leo" because he really is a stutterer)

    * Wellington Saci (The Saci-Pererê is a folkloric creature that have just one leg. Our dear Wellington is called Saci because - as a young player - he couldn't shoot with his right leg to save his life. He became a LB, obviously.)

    * Yago Pikachu (just because)

    And yeah, they're all shite.

    If the lad hasn't played for the national team yet, can we even sign him? There's always work permit issues when dabbling in South America, which is why we sign so few directly.

    Its a shame we didn't sign this guy when Kagawa was here. Lou would have probably said that Shinji would be his yoko.
