We have horrible luck with South American players. Hope this is a exception.

apparently his parents were rabid Eastenders fans back in the day. His mother had a soft spot for Arfur Faawler.

Considering the number of young talent in city, he might not get a minute of football. Might as well sit at home and play himself in Fifa.

Does he have an EU passport?
Because 1 cap is quite a long way off work permit requirements

Oscar and Arthur are names used in the portuguese world since centuries ago.
Jô is a nick. His name is Joao Alves.
Fred is a nick. His name is Frederico Chaves.
Alan is not so uncomun in the latin world due to influence of France.
    The rest are two things:
1 - there are 9 millions of descendants of germanics/slavics in Brazil and they have an impact in the general culture, of course.
2 - many american/english celebrities are worshiped by Brazilians.

If a Brazilian name doesn't end with an 'o', the chances of being a success is low. Kaka and Pele were exceptions obviously.... LMFAO

Brilliant performance in the final of Libertadores.
Injured in the end of first half but still got the player of the final award from Conmebol.

Barca don’t have enough non-eu spots I believe for January possibly by the summer.

Barca are getting an amazing player, see some movements that remind me of xavi. I hope we can sneak in and get him. I think we need malcom more though.

Per usual with this board & Brasilian negotiations, accusations of inappropriate contact that Grêmio's legal counsel commented they intend to take up with FIFA - apparently the negotiations still in the early stages.

I am a Gremio supporter and I can tell everyone here, this guy is better than Lucas Leiva when Lucas was on his prime. Unfortunately he won't be available for the club world cup. I think he would suit the english game more than the spanish.

Only City would be a good fit IMO if he went to the EPL but ultimately he better suited for Spain.

I'm guessing the agents add those names to be more relatable to European fans.

Been watching clips of this chap and he looks a wonderful talent. So much time on the ball, terrific balance and close control, nice acceleration, good passer and tenacious in defence. Looks the next modric type midfield talent. Unless the sample size available to me/standard of opposition is deceiving, he seems just the kind of player we need.
