Anybody getting it today? So far the review have fluctuated, some saying it is brilliant, others saying it is boring and repetitive after a couple of hours. Anyway, let me know what you all think of it if or when you have bought it.

Got it yesterday. Haven't played it much as i have been ill and dont even have enough energy to press a couple of buttons. It seems like a good game. Its very different to anything i have played before and im not sure if i like it or not.

Im going to play it some more today. Anyone else got it? If so what do you think of the twist at the start?

A friend of mine said it gets quite boring after a couple of hours but we shall see. Had mine posted from Play.com on wednesday so hoping it turns up today.

LOL but is that worth an extra fiver?

    http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=dettagli&codart=PS3AS00

The huge difference between Shopto and Play, is that Play says "usually dispached in 24 hours" and Shopto says "Usually delivered in 24 hours". Their next day delivery is great and like Play, it is free. A few weeks ago i ordered Pro Evo at 17:20 on Friday, and i got it delivered on Saturday. Great service.

It was the same price as the other version on Play £39.99. I shall try shopto though.

The fact it doesn't start in the Third Crusade? I don't want to say for those that wish to play it etc. Do you have live?

Yea, do you like it or not? It seems a bit strange to me. I thought it would of been better if you encounted the twist later on in the game. It sorta gives away the ending 10 minutes into the game.

And i have it on PS3 not Xbox.

I got it today for PS3, played for a couple of hours. Wasnt going to get it until next month but the copy of COD4 i ordered is somehow stuck in the postal system.

First of all, it looks amazing, the detail is fantastic. Jumping and climbing is great - i have never seen a game where you can just grab onto nearly everything and just shimmy up.

It takes some getting used to. Combat is a little drab so far - not as good as ninja gaiden. The voices of the ppl in the towns are a bit annoying.

Only on the first main level. Bit annoying how you have to climb up 9 towers.

Overall, its ok. Will have to give it a few more hours.

i really like it, i love just assassinating everyone, bit annoying when civvies walk in your way while you try to assasinate a guard and you end up killing the civvies

Some of the guards on the game are such retards. I was being chased and i was one my horse, so i galloped round the corner, so i wasnt in the sight of the guards, and i jumped off my horse and right into a haystack. My horse was standing right next to the haystack. Seriously, where the feck could i of gone?

The length of the cut scenes also piss me off.

    Rant over.

Where abouts are you upto? I've just done the City of Acre, got all the View points, saved the citizens and done the 'mission'. Basically each city is the same as the last, you go in, you find the view points kill some guards and collect the information to find the final bad guy.

It's not shit, far from it. It's like a third crusade version of Crackdown just with a sword and no crazy firearms.

I have no idea where im up to. I just seem to jump from city to city without completing all the missions.

It is a good game, but i am a little dissapointed as i was expecting it to be one of the greatest games off all time.

Every mission seems the same to me. You just find the view points, save the citizens, and kill some fecker. I can see myself getting bored of it.

Im up top memory block 3 - in Jerusalem.

Can anyone tell me the benefit of saving all the civilians and climbing all the towers?

    Its getting a little repetitive.

It must be, i saw the ending tonight.
To be honest, from what i have seen of this game, which has been quite a lot, i am not as impressed as i thought i would be. I imagined it to be a mix of Oblivion and Ninja Gaiden. It doesn't have the size, options or freedom of Oblivion however. The combat isn't as good as that of Ninja Gaiden either. Climbing up anything is pretty cool, but apart from that, there's nothing much that really hits me. It is also incredibly linear.
It's good, but this game should've been so much better,

If I'm honest I am slightly disappointed by it. The lack of fighting styles has annoyed me and I hate collecting pointless shit.

Anyone interested here is a few maps to where all the flags and templers are. I'm having a few problems with the Kingdom ones. Got all the 1st cities ones.

To be honest, i thought it sounded and looked great.
But there is something dreafully stupid about a game this big being levelled....
It also gets very monotonous and i really am disappointed. They should've looked at Oblivion and tried to get close to that.

    Getting a bit bored now.

There is only so many towers i can be bothered climbing. As for the citizens, f*ck them.

Does it get any better after memory block 4?
