Besiktas loaned Bebe from Manchester United as Serdal Adali informed. He is the head of football committee of Besiktas.

Good. He'll play there on loan and eventually move on next year, either there or somewhere else - can't see him returning.

Good loan deal for him. Besiktas are a decent side.

Lots of other Portuguese players there already isn't there? I suppose that sort of makes sense.

What I meant is that I can't see him returning to United because I don't think he's United quality. I edited my post but as I can see I did it too late.

This was the tweet of Portugoal.net, they're usually reliable on Portuguese Transfers.

Wish him all the best but I really think SAF has seen enough of him. If even Tosic was not embraced, I don't see how Bebe will be especially with that ass whopping still on SAF's mind.

Yup there are a few, although if that was the goal you'd think we'd just send him to Portugal.

It's far too early to tell whether he's United quality in my view.

Maybe for you, the United coaches and SAF have seen enough to make a judgement, and I think he would've played more if he was any good. I think he will go the way of Zoran Tosic.

Nope. He needs too much work. He needs to be re-educated in a lot of the fundamentals that kids learn from about age 8 to 18.

Agreed, we've certainly not seem enough to come to the conclusion that he can never be United quality. When we signed him, it was hardly with the view to judge him based on what he had produced after just one year. His situation and circumstance alone meant it would require longer than other players to start working towards our level, and Sir Alex himself has said it's completely unrealistic to hold new players to expectations based on the football of one or two years, it's a longer process.

He's not going to play a lot there, if true. Quaresma, Simao Sabrosa, Hugo Almeida... huge competition.

The thing is with Bebe is that there is absolutely nothing to suggest he'll ever be half decent. Most young players with potential do the occasional amazing thing, but he's just utterly hopeless. There was something fishy about that deal.

So because he's not played much at the age of 20 he's not very good? I think Beckham and Scholes had played just a few more games at the same age. And that's not even taking into account the fact that they came through the youth system while he's just moved from a tiny club after playing at a very low level, thus needing longer to step up to the level, never mind needing to acclimatise to a club of this size, never mind needing to acclimatise to a new country...

He's scored some pretty classy goals for the reserves. He remains anonymous far too often, it's his mentality that lets him down sometimes because he certainly has some valuable tools.

A little surprised but I was getting the feeling that reserves football didn't have much to offer him.

He's very quick and strong with a cannon of a right foot, warrants a bit of patience. He's not a Nani or a Ronaldo (in terms of dribbling ability). Will probably be good for him to get away from United for a bit. I'm wishing him the best of luck anyway, seems like a nice bloke.
