He could make 10 million or so in compensation this year alone for being shite.
I wonder if Pool fans would want him back...
Most of the knuckleheads on RAWK do. But the real Liverpool fans I know are happy he was sacked.
OFC they do, hes one of them after all...
I would be absolutely gutted to be an Inter fan.
Why is that site in English? Is it intended for British Inter fans or something?
An Inter fan saying that without Eto'o they'd be in the relegation zone.
As Inter fell to a second consecutive loss following a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chievo, coach Rafael Benitez refused to signal the alarm bells as the Italian champions slipped to nine points off the pace at the top of the standings.
“After a defeat we are never happy,” he declared to SkySport.
“It must be said that my men showed character today however. We were dealt a nasty blow on the counter attack but there were chances to come away with something.
“On a terrible pitch the boys kept plugging away but it simply wasn’t to be.
“Credit must be paid to Chievo who played a great game but a side such as Inter needs to win these games, this is football.
“This is not the first time I have been in such a situation and only with hard work can we bounce back. We have a great desire to win and from this we must look to turn the results around starting with the clash against Twente [in the Champions League] on Wednesday.”
he is losing it
Its his standard line though. Character, controlled etc etc.
So he's gone from being a hero to United fans, to being a hero of AC Milan fans.
Management - you're doing it wrong Rafa.
Did anyone watch the game?
How was Sneijder? He was awesome last season, doesn't seem to be in the same form this year...maybe he is tired, he played a hell of a lot of football last year
I think Sneijder got taken off and replaced by Nwankwo Obiora.
What are the excuses given by the scousers to defend the FSW today ? Any quotes ?
I think Benitez will be gone by Christmas. I think he wants to spend Christmas and New Year's alone with his wife or something. He and his team have been dismal this season. At this rate, they won't even get into the Champions League next season.
And now he'll lose Eto'o for a least three games.
All going according to plan.
I saw a bit of it and he didnt look right, i think he was playing on the left or something as i rarely saw him on the ball in the middle of the park, he would drift there time to time but bit of a meh performance. Still Inter as a team looked pretty poor, a bit like how we were yesterday but worse!
Treble winners to mid table nobodys in 3 months.
Who ya gonna call;
Is Rafa fluent in Italian?
I think it's a sign of the expert man-management he's receiving at the moment
What a flop
Tbf to rafa Sneijder isn't well at all, he has been diagnosed as aneamic, meaning he is very low on energy all round, he really does need a month or two off to get back to his best.
to the tune of Jose Murinho chants: Rafa Benitez, Rafa Benitez, Rafa Benitez
Hope Rafa stays there till the end of the season. We need Sneijder to be unhappy with Rafa and then put a bid in
And then Rafa Back To Pool! Torres will run faster than he ever has.
The Inter board are obviously complete morons since they are the ones who appointed him in the first place. I would have presumed that any team would look at a manager's recent history when deciding if he is the best man for the job. Did they not see what a crap job he was doing at Liverpool?
It's absolutely outrageous that a man can go from doing a terrible job at Liverpool to being in charge of the best team in Europe. And the fact that they brought him in to replace Mourinho only makes it worse.
I'm glad Inter are falling apart. It's their own idiocy that has caused it.
Infairness it was a poxy job to take. Jose won everything there last year so the only way was down. Still funny mind.
Will he become the new sven? jumping from job to job trousering millions in compinsation/wages wherever he goes
No manager was going to have the same amount of success as Mourinho did last year. For Inter to be in 9 points off the top though, and having not looked particularly creative so far, that's the work of a special man.
I watched maybe 30-40 minutes and it looked like Sneijder is being played deeper. It wasn't until they went 2-0 down and he moved into that advanced role he excelled in last season that he really came alive.
But it was too late by then.
Intersita....think about it, when was the last time anyone heard from him?
Another victim of the Jose "scorched earth" policy.
Gazzetta headline: 'Malitez' - Bad-nitez: Rafa apparently has 1 game to save his job. Capello, Leo, Simeone, Spalletti 'replacements'
if he got sacked that would be really hilario
Looks like he could soon be falling off his mountain of sugar. On the plus side though atleast Inter were involved in a league score that didn't resemble some machine code.
Good old tactical genius there from the Fat One
No one expected him to win the treble again but Inter shouldnt be in that pathetic state. You're really need to do quite a 'fantastic' job to achieve that.
Mourinho on Benitez's woes at Inter: "Has he lost again? Unbelievable. He's already 9 points back...
Leo as Leo Beenhakker?
I think it's Leo as in AC Milan legend Leonardo.
Can't get over or understand his sudden desire to blood young players when its not even an injury crisis etc...Ive watched alot of Inter recently including the Cheivo match. They were bullied off the pitch, out fought, at 2-0 down Inter last season would have got a draw at least. Under Mourinho Inter were like that, a great team. Under Rafa Inter will now spend their Thursday nights chasing the Europa Dream
