Did a search, last time this thread was done was in 2011. A lot of great shows with great theme tunes could enter the fray since then.

What would you put forward as your top 3 TV them tunes of all-time?

    I'll start with:

    1. Knight Rider:

    2. Miami Vice

    3. The Equalizer:

    Notable is this:

I would run from the room anytime this theme tune came on. Have never watched the show, but have always been haunted by the music... I am guessing it gets the message of the show across perfectly, but having never watched it, I wouldn't know.. :nervous:

The Interceptor, great game show where the leather clad Scottish man chasing the contestants in a helicopter does needless flips to get over gates.

    Crystal Maze, no brainer.

    The Professionals.

Fresh Prince. It's just so good.

That has a lot of depth to it! I have never heard the whole composition before. Mental to think he wrote that for a TV show. Think most things are going to sound very shallow and fluffy in comparison to that!

Tour of Duty had Paint it Black as its theme which would take some beating.

    Angel.
    Buffy.
    Game of Thrones.
    Stingray.
The second or third version of the Doctor Who theme.

    Glenroe. :lol::lol::lol:

The game of thrones one is awful and far too long, it's well annoying having to skip through it every episode.

Game of Thrones has some of the best ones in the opening theme, Rains of Castamere, Winter has come, The Winds of Winter and Light of the Seven.

Absolutely loved the opening theme of True Detective in the first season.

This one is an extended special version with a kickass disco beat in the second half.
